I agree with you neguy45. It's a type of Italian within the Italian community. Not all Italians are Guidos. Even Italians know and use the term. Guido is actually a proper male name in Italian and it became used as a stereotype of certain males. Even when portrayed on television, Guidos have always been portrayed as adorable characters: Vinny Barbarino (Welcome Back Kotter), Tony Manero (Saturday Night Fever), Tony Micelli (Who's the Boss), Joey Tribbiani (Friends), Danny (Grease), The Fonze (Happy Days) and the list goes on...

You forgot the easiest one of all..........Father Guido Sarducci! ;)

Being a halfie (half Ital half Jew) I never thought of this word as an "insult", just a description of a certain TYPE of Italian dude. A type I was always found hot by the way lol, prolly bc they were all over L.I. where I grew up and all lifted weights and every girl cousin of mine was dating one and my first (conscious) hardon was at a family pool party where one of these BF's gorgeous jet black hair tan muscles pecs gor face changed into his bathing suit in a basement laundry room with a louver door that I could see thru. Even his FEET were hot, very tan with perfect white nails. Still remember his first (yah very guido) name; Delio. Also, re opp's attract, unlike my 2 brothers I came out after my mom's side, sandy haired and green eyed. I LIKED Guidos  Point is, it's just a "type" of Italian. Dean Martin was a tots different type. Gary Marshall sister Penny, ANOTHER type etc. Now had they said he was a "Gavone'" THAT's an insult;)

Guidos turned me gay! I grew up in North Jersey in the 80’s surrounded by these muscled studs with their thick black hair, bedroom eyes, lush eyelashes, juicy butts, beuaifful angelic faces and raw sexiness that oozed out of every stupid as f##k comment they ever uttered. Their complete thickheadedness was such a turn for me, as much as their thickheadedness below their belt. Seriously, 80% of my high school consisted of these sex bombs. I still fantasize about some of them. I refuse to imagine what they must look like today. Happy memories.....

such an epic post!!!! i dunno u n i luv u already!

omg love this thread. I feel str8 blue collar men of italian descent have been highly represented in muscle worship n gay for pay publications. Many of them crave the validation for their hard work in the gym. They make great muscle worshipees especially since women dont get that worked up over muscles unless she is a trashy guidette. Go guidos!!!!!

If you want to hook up with one, hang out in Atlantic City, Wildwood, or Seaside NJ. Go on one of the apps and you will meet plenty of them on the DL. You have to host. They are always looking to get away from the family for a quickie.

apps?? are we speaking about guidis of any orientation?

And we KNOW we're not alone re; the appeal of these type of guys since MANY scorts of varying ethnicities Middle Eastern Hispanic even some Eastern Euro SUGGEST they're Guidos by the use of their chosen Italian names. *remember GOR 90's pornstar and scort GianFranco (had him once in LA), well I was surprised when he told me he was Iranian or Egyptian I forget exactly which but something like that.

funny enough i dont even think i met a gay guido in person. when i go to the meadowlands to watch giants games back in the day they would always be there with the whole fam drunk n yelling obscenities because a reciever dropped the ball(insert that iconic pauly d meme).

The guys of Jersey Shore, a few husbands of real housewives of new jersey, there was even a reality shiw on oxyfen i think years back revolving around a jersey salon. The hairdressers were all mid 20s guidettes n i lived fir the scenes when they woukd show their bfs usually yoked 250 lb guidos sent str8 from heaven. Maybe someone can remind me what show that was.
