Ok....I know this may be a touchy subject. But I've been asked to appear at an event with Brent Corrigan.

 

And I'm very hesitant to do so....

 

What are people's feelings about his situation? Do people think he's a schmuck that got fake ID's and is screwing cobra video for all their worth? Or is he somehow in the right?

 

From what i've been told he isn't in a very good place and I really don't want to appear with him if people hate him right now. would be a bad career move if I did.

I would say trust your gut instinct. And if you are having this level of negative thoughts about the prospect then it's a bad idea and you should consider not participating. In this instance there may be so much focus on Brent that you may not get the level of expsoure you should at this event. There will always be other opportunities.

Kidding. Well, sort of. I've never heard of him until this post. Just goes to show how NOT up on porn I am.

What kind of event? Is it just the two of you?

 

Listen to your instinct. Unless it's a cast-of-thousands event and you'll just be one name among many, and unless it's a fundraiser for a really good cause where his notoriety could increase the take, and unless.... etc.

 

There may be mitigating factors but your first instinct seems sound.

 

The major players in the industry learned from the Jeff Browning incident and won't touch anyone who performed under age. They won't risk their business having that stygma attached. The more recent (less experienced) players will take risks to differentiate themselves without regard to any effect on the industry as a whole. (You've experienced some of this personally.)

 

In the end, nobody ever got stung for taking the high road.
