I just moved my/this post over from a "googling escorts" thread over in Ask An Escort....this forum gets more action and I wanted to see some discussion on this.....thanks.....

carrying this further, does anybody know much about these online services that'll give you "personal information" on anybody you want for a fee?...I googled my number and an offer (paid ad) appeared to pay a company (Intelius) to give me all kinds of personal info based on that phone number...if I did this for an escort's number (just part of my "due diligence", of course), would much info come up?....and, perhaps most important for my privacy, does the owner of that number get notified of an inquiry into their number?...and does he get my name??....is "Intelius" good or is there a better service?...some could say this borders on stalking, of course, but privacy and discretion come into play, too, in this activity.......

any info on this would be appreciated.....thanks for your time

It is not "due diligence" to be googleing an escort's phone number. What purpose does it serve to obtain personal information in this manner when making a decision to hire?

If you are that concerned about your personal privacy why are you seeking to invade the privacy of an escort you seek to hire?

All the Info needed for a Hookup, is given by both individuals to each other! You don't feel you have enough Info..Don't Hookup!

While the internet is an extremely valuable tool, it is also the single most significant source of misinformation on the planet!

Any so-called expert can post anything on any subject… and often with out being subject to review or scrutiny… and it does not matter if the information is available for free or for a fee!

Enough said!

Second place in that category goes to ... FOX News!

He should get your name. Damn well deserves it! If you're checking him out, he deserves to check you out.

In many states, prospective employers are allowed to conduct background checks on prospective employees but the prospective employee must sign a waiver granting the protective employer permission to conduct the research.

Of course, we're not talking about traditional employer/employee here.

What you're asking about adds up to stalking.

Edited because you're still in your own edit window. Let's make sure what I'm responding to stays here.

Learn to read, Hawk.

The OP did exactly ask about conducting an investigation while being protected from it himself.

The rest of your response I'll call "A Hawkism" and ignore.

Hmmm. Before you trust the accuracy of that report, try it on your phone number. I didn't pay, but when I put in my phone number, the wrong city came up. I don't know if it would give them my correct name if I paid, but I would have to assume that if it doesn't know the city where I'm located, it won't know my name either.
