Maybe this isn't the right forum, but does anyone have a place to recommend in New York City where I could get a good STRIP STEAK? A New York strip would be fine, but I would consider the Kansas City version. What is the difference, anyway?

Doesn't the KC Strip have a small bone on it??? It is the same piece of meat from the same location on the steer if I am correct. Just cut minutely differently.

Hey Lucky,

Maybe it belongs in the Strip Forum?? :7

Anyway, this is what I got from Google:

"A Kansas City steak, is a slightly different cut of strip loin. Same muscle that a new york strip is cut from. They remove the "tail" so it appears to be more squared off, and usually cut them thicker."

Wow, I learned something new today! :-)

enjoy
