Season 2 has begun. This season is about Julius Caesar. The settings and costumes are nice. But in one scene I heard church bells ringing.

 

From this first episode I learned that Spartacus died in battle and his body was never found. No "I AM SPARTACUS" like in the Kirk Douglas movie.

 

Season 1 was about Commodus the son of Marcus Aurelius.

Arrgh!!! The historical errors! In the episode I'm watching Pompey arrives in Egypt and meets the young Pharaoh. However in reality when Pompey arrived by ship in Egypt he got into a small boat to go to shore and was killed there in the small boat. He never made it alive to land. How could they have made such a mistake? Are they so ignorant of history? Did they not do research?
