Cecil Beaton, English photographer and so much more. This wonderful, new documentary showcases this very multitalented gay man who changed the visual looks of photography, theater, movies, fashion illustration and on and on.

Perhaps not the luckiest man in his love life but he still left his mark.

Highly recommended.

A little of Cecil is fine. As the Washington Post wrote Beaton would have done wonders with a smartphone. The film opens in Philadelphia, but has strong opposition from "The Cakemaker."

I am sure it is hard to be a genius at what you do. Just in photography it is unbelievable to think of how many portraits of personages he did where people will say that is THE portrait of that person and that no other lives up to it. And that was just in photography.
