MartyB many of the questions you ask in your last post are frankly NONE of your business. Many of those questions could easily apply to an escort of any age. The young man has made a choice regarding his life style, that is his right. At what stated ad age would you believe that your questions were no longer necessary or relevant -- 21 - 25 - 30. Those are all arbitrary subjective lines. Now, honestly, the young man is too young for my taste but that is simply a matter of taste NOT moral obligation. You are most definitely entitled to your opinion but unfortunately your tone indicates, at least to me, a moral judgement which I dislike.

I think this is the biggest problem with a majority of the Baby Boomer generation they do not treat their children like they should be treated. In yalls parents and grandparents generation by 18 they were already starting families and careers. Lets face it at an escort job has a lot more benefits than a minimum wage job and at least he will have more time to study for school, if he is going, and pay back his debts fast. A couple of years ago in the news came out that freshman at duke university was doing porn so she could go to a great college.

Too late for Rentmen to refuse an 18 year old boy's ad & neither would I reach out to them and ask them to remove the ad.

I am not trying to disrupt his escort career. I raised the issue when the original OP posted the ad. Clearly my questioning will not impact his career choice at all judging by what I'm reading here

It occurs to me: Are we sure Brett is actually 18 yo? I believe rentmen has an obligation to secure proof of age? But does it actually do that? It is a pretty iffy operation in my experience.

 

I have a few simple rules:

1. If I think he is younger than 18, I don't hire.

2. If he seems like he might even be close to the line (ie, 18, 19, 20 ), I tell him in advance that I will want to see his photo ID to make sure he is of age before anything else happens (I'm not kidding - I have done this twice; both guys laughed but agreed)

3. Also for those close to the line, I make a point of saying via email or text that I am not seeking/am not interested in anyone younger than 18. When the police do a sting, they often try to get the prospective client to document in writing his understanding that the person is underage - that goes to intent ("you knew yet you proceeded....). It would be bad enough to get busted for soliciting -- committing/getting busted for statutory rape is a whole other thing....

Because if u refer this individual as a "young man" which he is legally it somehow negates the fact that he is a boy. Either way if a client wants to higher an 18 year old not my problem or issue. But I have every right on this forum to raise a conscientious argument. That's all.

I agree with that of course and I didn't post here without thinking that my opinion here would get a reaction as it did. I don't regret because the escort in question raises many flags.
