I had a friend (now deceased) who when he in his teens he and a friend bicycled all around France. This was in the early 1950s. For the 1989 Bicentennial he took his wife to Paris. This was his second wife.

He was stationed in Berlin in the late 50s. He met his first wife there. She was a Lebensborn child.
