After I posted a message here regarding the language barrier of a new escort I was seeing from Mexico, I received the following email on my home email address:

Hey BigD...if you do not mind would you please send me the site address for this new Escort....and pictures if you have....I am in Vegas so I would also like to know what city this guy works in. Thanks for your time and I sure all went well....By the way language will not be a problem, I go to Rio often and I do not speak Portuguese or Spanish, but I got what I wanted...it was quiet fun

Thx again

I responded by asking how he got my email address and he answered:

The email address is not shown, but the message was

sent via the http://www.manhunt.net/

I clicked on Mexico and then Mexico City and I went

through each listing.......

I am sorry if this email was sent incorrectly to

you...Please accept my apolgy.....

I would suggest you email the site admin. and advise

them so that they can correct this mistake....

Once again, please accept my apology...

Thanks

G (Las Vegas)

All the more puzzling: I am not in Mexico City. What does he mean that the site admin should correct the mistake. What mistake? I still do not know how he got my email address. His message was not sent through this site. I am concerned. Not about this particular message because the sender seems on the up and up and was pleasant in his inquiriies. But if he can get my email address, anyone else can too. What do you think? SHould I not be concerned about this.

If ManHunt.net allows members to search for each other by handle, and if you're on there with the same handle you use here, perhaps he found you through a search there.

In any case, once your email has been published on the Internet, even in a private database, it's not possible to prevent it from being misused.

I still get spam addressed to an email address I used almost ten years ago for only a single, private, purpose, but which was ultimately harvested and sent out over a newsgroup for spammers!

Sigh.

...Hoover
