I saw Elton's Vegas show a couple of weeks ago in Vegas. It was good enough to see Elton, but I felt that it lacked the excitement of a regular Elton concert and I've seen him a bunch of times over the years here in L.A. from Dodger Stadium to just him and percussionist at the Greek. The program was primarily comprised of hits, no tracks such as "Funeral For a Friend," "Take Me to the Pilot" or my personal fave, "Dan Dare." (Yup, that's where I got this fecocktah name!)

Two other issues: the audience barely got up and danced at all. i was wondering if that had anything to do with it being a Vegas audience or just that Elton's audience is just, um, "past" the dancing stage. The other issue could be the cause of the first and that is the start time: 7:30!!! The show was over by 9:30. Waaaay 2 early!

I'll be curious to see Sir Elton when he comes back around either solo, or in concert with Billy Joel!
