In my post above I neglected to mention @leigh.bess.toad! However, fortunately others have subsequently mentioned him. Yes! He of the Wagnerian forum moniker! Interestingly, we never pulled off meeting. However, during his years as a vocal student at a local university he also had a job as a waiter in a restaurant that I frequented during the exact same time frame. The place was noted for their singing waiters who would harmonize a mean version of “Happy Birthday”. The venue became known as THE place to celebrate a birthday. We both liked to think that our paths might have crossed during one of those happy birthday moments. As others mentioned he was quite proactive in promoting forum gatherings in the DC area.
