So I went in for a 60 min massage today - deep tissue, tantric with Danny. Wat a great massage! Really great technique, he used his hot little body and melted mine! DM for details if interested. Nice studio - clean and easy to get to off 14th St. Will def be going back.

Bumping this thread because I don't want to start a new one, but especially curious about providers or spas who do Thai, floor mat stretching, body-to-body, or even yoga. Would appreciate any recommendations, thank you! 🤗

Bumping this, have been looking for a really good recommendation for scrub since Living Fresh closed

I was curious about trying out a new spot, but overall I can't recommend even for strictly therapeutic.
Went in for a 60 min massage, the masseur was pretty good with the actual technical elements but not so much on the experience itself. Even putting aside the fact that it was fully therapeutic (as mentioned above), there were odd pockets of time where he just left the room with the door open while I was undraped on the table, the overall setup means you can hear people walking around and talking pretty clearly. He also did two wipe downs using the same towel which meant the second time the towel was wet but ice cold.
The part that really got me was that I was charged for 75 min on a massage that wasn't even 60 min, and it wasn't even verbally confirmed with me. I didn't bother asking for the guy's name, and I personally wouldn't go back. Sucks, considering so many other places are closing down!

Can confirm. The Victor at Shangrila is European. Slavic.

It's been a minute since I've posted and with several spas closing, thought I'd share some recent experiences.
Oasis: Posted in the Oasis thread, but can't recommend even for therapeutic. W Man: Used to be my go-to, especially when CK was around, but I think they might have changed owners since? The roster has been very different. My most recent experience was decent, but the place is getting a little run down. If anyone has specific masseur recs from the new roster, lmk. Chelsea Men: Had a few not so great experiences here in the past, but lately they've been really solid. There's one slightly older Asian guy who isn't great, but highly recommend Allen & Victor. Shangrila: Had a 60 min with Lucas who could not have been less interested in giving a massage. Especially with the price point, can't recommend. Haven't been to East Men or Energy since the fall, but I would say both are hit or miss depending on the guy.
Happy to trade stories / experiences from above spas or others, via DM

Two different Victors! The one at Chelsea is Latino, and I think the one at Shangrila is European? At least from what I've seen on the forum.

With a lot of the spas seemingly closing, has anyone had any great experiences lately? I see the 27/HK threads updated mostly, but curious about other spots that have newer masseurs I might have missed. Prefer younger guys of any race, but also find it hot if they're "into" younger Asian guys (me) since I find it makes the experience hotter.
If you want to DM, I can also swap stories on recent experiences at East Men / W Men / 28 Men. (Grandee and New Yorker too, but those closed and New Yorker was the worst. 😐)

i highly recommend ken at energy men spa. super friendly and accommodating, great massage technique, and very focused on providing a satisfying experience. he's mid-30s, short, athletic/beefy, asian (thai?). i'm also asian, if that helps.
the only downside is ken only works at energy one day a week (thursday, i think) as he has a full-time job. i try to see him when my schedule allows, and it's always well worth it!

I’ve had some DMs so responding to my own thread here with an update.
I had a massage last night at Renew Spa 2 on Bowery with Tom. Super cute guy, 100% professional. VERY good deep therapeutic massage.
Had another with an unnamed guy at Rio Grande Massage on Mott and it was very soft massage if you’re into that. Very enjoyable but honestly not therapeutic.

I recently went to 28 Men Spa 28 Men Spa and experienced Owen.

Owen is Chinese, decent looking - I’d guess upper 20s, and really wants to provide excellent service. His English is limited in person but he uses a translator and is very responsive to texts.

He asked if I wanted medium or hard. I asked for medium because I don’t like to risk back injury to these places, but he did indicate that he is experienced with deep tissue.
I wouldn’t say his technique is going to leave you with a relieved back, but he will let you know what kind of massage you’re getting fairly early on.  As in, you are likely to leave with a smile on your face.

If anything, I valued his attentiveness and willingness to please.
You can text him directly at 929-655-2666
They do have a shower available.

Hi Ziggy, welcome to the forum!!
Erotic interaction for money is illegal in NYC and almost all parts of the US.  A business openly facilitating such a thing is likely to be raided and its staff prosecuted.  Discretion is a virtue for posters on this public message board describing private interactions, which I think you'll see if you read some of this very long thread.  To the point, there is no business in NYC where a customer "can expect" more than the legitimate massage he's paying for.

Checked out East Men for the first time last week, and it was probably the most disappointing massage experience I’ve had in the past few months.
The setup is very much not ideal if you get whoever the front desk guy is, since you can hear all conversations clearly from whoever is waiting & it’s just a sliding door that barely closes. It was awkward having to listen to multiple conversations during a mediocre massage with not much sensuality until the end. Also, asked for a younger guy but got who I assume is the owner who kept leaving during the massage to answer calls / take payments / do whatever other random tasks.
I know some guys have had good experiences there, but I wouldn’t repeat unless someone strongly recommends a specific masseur.

So sorry that’s the worst leaving during your massage to do other things. You should have received a comp !!!😡

I am so confused. The last 6 or 7 messages are a bunch of brand new members posting exuberant posts. Kind of feels like being shilled to buy a fake Rolex on Canal Street.

There is a lot of hate for Grandee on this forum… so while I acknowledge the risk of getting a pie thrown at me, I had a pretty good experience today (not amazing, but good.) Good enough though that I plan to repeat and will have it on my list whenever I’m in NYC. I’ve had awful experiences at Energy, so I understand why people get upset if someone else recommends a place where they’ve had a terrible experience. But I wanted to share my experience in case someone like me finds it valuable.
Here’s what was good about my experience at Grandee today:
    - Good communication via text when I wanted to book, including helping me find a masseur that’s to my liking
    - Super cute, friendly, communicative mid-twentys, very fit Asian masseur (if you like younger Asian guys, this might be the place for you)
    - No hassling for tips or discussion about tips during the session
    - Full 60 minute massage, no time shorting
    Here’s what was bad:
    - Massage was just ok, I would say technique was 5/10. But all things considered my experience was 7/10, maybe even a bit higher.
-Facilities are old and while it’s not the cleanest,  it’s not terrible either. Much cleaner than Energy IMO, I didn’t feel gross. Frankly I have been in many massage parlors in other cities that are much worse.
That’s the end of my rant. But if you like a decent massage and (like me) want the attention of a younger, attractive Asian guy then you will probably enjoy yourself. For those that don’t find that exciting, don’t come after me. ☺️

I would never discuss it with a masseur in a spa. A private masseur, sure, but not in a spa. I use body language to convey my interests - lifting my ass when he's massaging it (or nearby), spreading my legs wider, again when he's in that area. And I will "let" my hand graze his groin or inner thigh to let him know I'm interested in more than a regular massage.  If he doesn't respond, I don't pursue any further.

Had a pretty terrible experience at New Yorker Men Spa this weekend.  Beyond the awful experience, the guy demanded more money over a near 100% tip, which I gave because the door was locked as I was exiting.  Feel free to DM me if you want more details, but I will be avoiding this place in the future.
