  1. Does anyone have recommendations for spas that have scrub rooms similar to East Men, where the whole room is a “wet room” with a waterproof massage table? The types I’m not a fan of are the ones where there’s a shower table in a regular room, like Energy, or a pop-up (?) tub like at Batman (at least from what I was shown, didn’t actually ask for the scrub there because of it).
  2. Two different Victors! The one at Chelsea is Latino, and I think the one at Shangrila is European? At least from what I've seen on the forum.
  3. Bumping this thread because I don't want to start a new one, but especially curious about providers or spas who do Thai, floor mat stretching, body-to-body, or even yoga. Would appreciate any recommendations, thank you! 🤗
  4. It's been a minute since I've posted and with several spas closing, thought I'd share some recent experiences. Oasis: Posted in the Oasis thread, but can't recommend even for therapeutic. W Man: Used to be my go-to, especially when CK was around, but I think they might have changed owners since? The roster has been very different. My most recent experience was decent, but the place is getting a little run down. If anyone has specific masseur recs from the new roster, lmk. Chelsea Men: Had a few not so great experiences here in the past, but lately they've been really solid. There's one slightly older Asian guy who isn't great, but highly recommend Allen & Victor. Shangrila: Had a 60 min with Lucas who could not have been less interested in giving a massage. Especially with the price point, can't recommend. Haven't been to East Men or Energy since the fall, but I would say both are hit or miss depending on the guy. Happy to trade stories / experiences from above spas or others, via DM
  5. I was curious about trying out a new spot, but overall I can't recommend even for strictly therapeutic. Went in for a 60 min massage, the masseur was pretty good with the actual technical elements but not so much on the experience itself. Even putting aside the fact that it was fully therapeutic (as mentioned above), there were odd pockets of time where he just left the room with the door open while I was undraped on the table, the overall setup means you can hear people walking around and talking pretty clearly. He also did two wipe downs using the same towel which meant the second time the towel was wet but ice cold. The part that really got me was that I was charged for 75 min on a massage that wasn't even 60 min, and it wasn't even verbally confirmed with me. I didn't bother asking for the guy's name, and I personally wouldn't go back. Sucks, considering so many other places are closing down!
  6. Cool, thanks for the rec. I usually avoid Energy because the quality is so hit-or-miss, but I know individual guys can be different. Will check him out!
  7. With a lot of the spas seemingly closing, has anyone had any great experiences lately? I see the 27/HK threads updated mostly, but curious about other spots that have newer masseurs I might have missed. Prefer younger guys of any race, but also find it hot if they're "into" younger Asian guys (me) since I find it makes the experience hotter. If you want to DM, I can also swap stories on recent experiences at East Men / W Men / 28 Men. (Grandee and New Yorker too, but those closed and New Yorker was the worst. 😐)
  8. Could somebody please share their experience with Owen, formerly at W Men (among others, I think?) and currently at 28 Men? I know they only have a few masseurs but I've been curious to try. I can't really gauge how old he is from his photos...
  9. Ugh, true. To be fair, some of the positive comments I saw were from regular posters, not the spammy Google translate ones from the owners.
  10. Checked out East Men for the first time last week, and it was probably the most disappointing massage experience I’ve had in the past few months. The setup is very much not ideal if you get whoever the front desk guy is, since you can hear all conversations clearly from whoever is waiting & it’s just a sliding door that barely closes. It was awkward having to listen to multiple conversations during a mediocre massage with not much sensuality until the end. Also, asked for a younger guy but got who I assume is the owner who kept leaving during the massage to answer calls / take payments / do whatever other random tasks. I know some guys have had good experiences there, but I wouldn’t repeat unless someone strongly recommends a specific masseur.
  11. Also curious about recent Renew York experiences. I went twice a couple of months ago, happy to swap thoughts with others who have gone.
  12. Checked out Utopia. Masks were worn by both for the whole session, and overall the fact that the walls don't extend to the ceiling (although annoying for the noise factor) does make me feel safer with air circulating. Planning on heading back to TSMS soon as well.
