It’s the same premise as Spa Castle, King Spa etc. They have a gender separated “nude only” area. NY Spa & Sauna isn’t really cruisy at all though so if you’re going there for the purpose of cruising, you’re gonna be VERY disappointed.

You might’ve gone during a slow time, but it’s definitely been busy AF when I’ve gone. I go in the mornings when I get off of work and as soon as I get there, there’s usually plenty of stuff going on.

Sucks that he’s no longer doing massages. 😔

Spa Castle closed due to a fire in the kitchen area. They re-opening in a few days.

They’re no longer doing day passes or free trial passes (something to do with COVID), so you need a membership to go.

Maybe they’re doing it branch by branch, but when I went to McBurney today (which was back to normal with the cruising and the steam room fun), everything was definitely open.

With me, very. Other members have said it’s been the opposite with them.

I think the only exception may be Hush spa.

NYC YMCA locations re-open their steam rooms & saunas on Monday, May 9th. Just a heads up for my NYC folks and potential visitors.

As a spa castle regular, I can tell you that AT TIMES, there is an orgy vibe in the steam room. I can also tell you (having gone recently) that now they randomly check the steam room at least twice an hour. There’s ample opportunity to have a little bit of fun, but in terms of it being a FULL BLOWN ORGY, nah. If you live close by, it’s worth it, but if you live anything more than I’d say 45mins to an hour or way, you’d be better off going somewhere else. And one last FYI, the real “action” goes on in the bathroom stalls or sometimes in the shower area nearest to the body scrub room.

I had a session with him today, in fact I just left Hush. I’d highly recommend him, for a few reasons but I’ll PM you with the tea. ☕️
