Ever since Garik moved north from LA, he is one of the very few “masseurs” that I see locally when I’m home in the Bay area......I def enjoy him a lot but I’ve honestly not gotten to know him yet as an individual real well.....I think with different clients he’s the kind of guy who calls the shots & a guy where one’s “mileage might vary” depending on how & where he wants things to go.....(his old advert in LA used to include the “erotic” option as being always available).

I “recently” took an 8oz bag of sbux Jamaican Blue Mountain whole beans ( one of that week’s Special Reserve / Small Lot offerings) off the shelf....when the barista / cashier was ringing up my purchases......$ 36.00 for the JBM.....at that price, I removed that small bag & declined to purchase......5 or 10 seconds later I reconsidered & put the bag back on the counter to be included in the purchase.....tasty java but still too pricey for that purchase to have made any sense. Also, generally an early riser here.....I’m often at Sbux for a doppio ( double espresso) at their 4am opening time.....I’m never the only one there at that early morning time.....(& yeah....their pricey $5-10k machine makes a much better brew than my at-home setup)

My co-workers (& bosses) are definitely used to (& accepting of) my usual unshaven, 5 o’clock shadow, 2 or 3 day beard growth that I almost always “sport”......my current full monty (unshaven for weeks now) elicits “humorous” comments from folks on every video conference call that we all attend on a nearly daily schedule.... while it’s been “ok” isolating in a small town in New Mexico with good friends, I am ready for turning the page & having the next chapter begin though.

As a kid growing up in the Bay area, See’s lollipops were 1 of my 5 daily food groups.....to some extent, the habit / affection has continued in adulthood.
