My thoughts are it’s never expected, but appreciated. After all, you paying for the service is already pretty expensive. I myself usually stuck with 20% and more so if I’ve had a remarkable time with the provider. I’m just generous I guess ?.

There was another encounter with another provider in LA. As the door opened, this tall fine specimen of a man was standing in front of me with water specks still running down his hairy chest/stomach wearing just a towel. I actually got a massage from him a couple of months ago while visiting LA and it was definitely a great experience. He used strokes that I never felt before as a client on a table. He did mention that he’s working on a permanent residence in LA, which is also great because you don’t have to travel to London to see him. I found him pretty chill. I would definitely repeat if I was in the LA area. I did come across some pictures/videos of him on YouTube with a group called kahunamanbodywork based in WeHo (info found YouTube and Instagram) so perhaps a 4-hand could include one of the guys from that group.

I hired him a couple of months ago and he’s strictly therapeutic (draping was not required). He was easy to hold a conversation with. I wouldn’t repeat based off the massage as it was not memorable and he charged $150 for a 60min.
