One of the things I miss about Rentboy was the ability to block ads. You blocked the ad and it no longer appeared in searches. To my knowledge you can’t do that in Rentmen. Am I missing something? Thanks!

With HBOGO gone and having to wait for Roku to add HBO Max I am wondering about cutting cable. I Googled "how to cut cable" and found a random how to guide. It suggested replacing cable with an HD antenna for local channels, a streaming service like Sling TV, and the various apps such as HBO Max. I watch a variety of channels on cable and worry that if I cut cable I may at some point in the future want to watch a show and it's channel is not on my services. On the other hand my cable bill is high and it would be nice to lower it. (It includes cable, some premium channels, internet, and phone.) Having said all that have I overlooked anything? Has anyone cut cable? If so, what was your experience? Thanks.

Thanks. It does seem silly to pay for HBO as part of cable and pay also for the app. I’ll see how long it takes Roku to resolve the issue and then whether I can get HBO Max through Spectrum.

Thanks, Kevin. Much appreciated. For some reason I am finding it hard to understand this situation. Am I correct in thinking that to have access to all of HBO's offerings I will need the app HBO Max? But it is not yet offered on Roku, which service I use? I'll have to pay the monthly fee for it so what's the point of having HBO through my cable company? The last bit is interesting. Are Showtime and Cinemax et al going to move to apps? Is this another stage in the end of cable? Thanks.

Hi. I may have asked these question before. I just don't remember asking or the answers. I've come across at least two scams on Grindr. One is the "lonely soldier" and the other is "let's move to hangouts." How do these scams work? With the lonely soldier scam they usually start with some version of "I live in [insert US city] but I'm deployed army serving in [whereever]. I'm looking for a long term relationship. If you met the man of your dreams could you love him totally?" I just block them. I assume the goal is to get money out of me but since I don't stick around to find out, how do they do it? With the let's move to hangouts, well, that's it. They want to move the chat to hanggouts (or maybe some other app). The first time I sent the guy a message on hanggouts and never heard back. After that I just block whomever wants to move to hanggouts. Are they trying to get money out of me or do they get some payment for raising chats on hanggouts? All of this is mysterious to me.

I was watching Some Good News with John Krasinski. His wife, Emily Blunt, usually makes an appearance. They are married, live together, and have children. Both are famous and I assume very wealthy Hollywood elite. When two famous and wealthy people live together how do they decide who pays the electric bill, who pays the school tuition, and other everyday expenses? The answer is probably that every such couple handles it differently but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks.
