For that part, why/how do high end spas charge so much?? All for the ambiance only?

I saw Richard, didn’t ask for any of the younger “interns” LOL. He is a nice guy and very accommodating, on the older side (id guess in his 60s). Great thorough massage as well but YUGE!! Pm me if you’d like to hear more.

I saw him when I was visiting Philly. I am still a bit of a novice when it comes to massage so I didn’t ask for nude/sensual or anything, so he didn’t provide (makes sense I guess). But I can attest that he is extremely handsome, tall (seemed taller than 6’ to me), and amazing body! The massage was thorough and deep but agree no hint of sensuality. Hope that helps!

As a grad student you might be able to appreciate this, but in NYC you can basically walk in to your choice of men’s spa at almost any hour day or night and have a sensual relaxing massage. It’s very liberating! And you can’t really beat the price, $60 plus $40 tip per hour (no one has complained about $40 yet for me but I think that’s highly debated). Also soo many private masseur choices out there as well!

Any advice for why you’d pick Shangrila over Utopia given there is a price difference? Since I’ve heard that the same masseurs rotate at both (or is that true?), is it just that the Shangrila facilities are nicer? I’ve seen Jerry at Utopia, and he was great. TIA!

I saw him many times in the past, but it has been a little while since my last massage with him. He is very tall, like 6’6” or so and has a beautiful body. The massage is good and thorough, I feel like it was firmer than most without asking for it. While I agree he doesn’t come off as the friendliest person, I think it might be bc he has been hassled a lot for things beyond therapeutic massage in the past (he has mentioned being harassed several times), so it may be because of that. Possibly YMMV?? I would still recommend, can pm me for more details!

Just had a massage with Alvin today, it was actually my first time at a men’s spa, so I was surprised at how good the massage was, since it seems from what I’ve read here those can be lacking sometimes. Alvin is a handsome muscular Chinese dude with big hands which provided great pressure! I was with my hubby so I asked for a therapeutic massage only but...will definitely be back!
