I wear Speedos at home in the privacy of my own pool, because I feel they are the most comfortable way to swim (and when the sun goes down, I swim naked). But since I am waaay past fifty, at a public pool or beach, I feel more comfortable psychologically wearing a more conservative bathing suit, for the same reason that I would feel silly wearing the tight t-shirts that I wore for cruising when I was in my 20s. Sometime in my 50s, I realized that even though my body shape hadn't changed much since my youth, my attitude toward exhibiting it had. So, wear what makes you feel comfortable.

And then there are those of us (ME! ME! ME!) who never wore tight t-shirts and never went cruising. But Charlie, I say if you still have the body for it, you should do it.

I am not in the speedo crowd- never have been and most likely never will be unless something drastic happens and sometime in the next 10 years and I decide to either get a stomach stapling or go on some massive body reshaping- which truthfully ain't going to happen as I am now 53- and I 1st started telling myself I was going to get myself in shape at age 14 without ever being able to accomplish it. And even if I were in shape it's possible my underendowment would keep me from wearing a speedo.

But my question is how comfortable are they. They don't really seem so. I tried some semi skimpy underwear recently for a once in a lifetime f-ckbuddy relationship which is now over. They weren't very comfortable. I prefer the way my granny panties feel. Now that that one time relationship is over, I'm about to throw those two pair of skimpies away.

And while I often agree with Juan, in this case I feel too much self-confidence is a bad thing. There is no way I would inflict the sight of me in speedos on anyone. I wouldn't want to be responsible for them being struck blind- or for those who weren't blinded, drowning themselves because of an inability to eradicate the memory from their brains

You can run into porn stars anywhere. Used to happen to me in Chicago a lot. The question is whether you'll recognize them, and you probably won't.

 

It's like running into your dentist's receptionist in the grocery store. You don't recognize her at first because she isn't in uniform and isn't sitting behind the desk where you usually see her. (And with porn stars it's not all that easy to recognize them with clothes on. )

 

It is not unusual, though, to bump into someone in WeHo who a) MIGHT be a pornstar, b) LOOKS like a pornstar, c) MIGHT be a pornstar tomorrow, or d) might have already made porn but it hasn't been released yet. I don't have any escorting experience to share, nor am I privy to any turbulent personal life. I never saw any of that, but I did know him socially in LA. He worked out at my gym, and I first saw him there. We would talk several times a week. Then we began running into each other socially at different clubs in WEHO. I was just wondering if this was a common occurrence if you live in WEHO- running into 'porn stars'. I mean I doubt I would if I lived there #1. Frequently it's even easier than your instructions indicate, Gar1eth. For example, in Chrome at least, if you click in the website address bar it automatically highlights the entire URL. Then you can do the right click, copy, and paste steps.

It's not that hard to 'Copy' and paste a link. I'm going to assume you have a pc. If you have a Mac, someone else will have to advise you.

I thought I was bad at geography. But my lord while I'm still awful at it, I'm not as bad as her. Still I'm from a white middle/middle class background with a fairly stable family life, middle class good school (at the time although I've heard it's gone downhill since) when there was still some discipline in the classroom. And if by some chance I had really screwed up, whatever punishment was meted out by the school would have been a fraction of the trouble I would have been in at home. If Kellie was really dealing with a father in jail and a Mom who abandoned her, then possibly she had a lot more issues in dealing with life and surviving from day to day that might make school 'larning' more trivial in the general scheme of her life. And if she had that kind of family life, we have no idea what kind of nutrition, drugs, or alcohol her mother might have been on during the pregnancy which might have affected Kellie's development.

Ok, I'm just a little confused here. And though I may take flack I'm going to dive right in.

First, I don't agree with bareback in porn. I think it sets a poor example.

However, it is my understanding that this studio does thorough testing of their guys to ensure safety and has strict rules in place in order to stay employed with them and to assist in the safety issue.

If the studios only use the Antibody test, which is the only immediate test, then there can be up to a three to six month window where you are actually positive and can infect others, but the test will show you negative. If the studios use a nucleus acid test, the window is reportedly decreased to two weeks. I wonder what tests the studios use.

The other problem of course is the super sizing of portions. Big Gulps and the like did not exist when I was a child. There were no quarter pounders- hamburgers were thin patties on smaller buns. I also am not sure if there were free drink refills. Along with the loss of the family sit down meal, less physical activity, we have increasing portion sizes snuck in on us by tr fast food industry. Soon where once 2 small McDonald's hamburgers were a normal meal, now it's two quarter pounders or two Big Macs that are normal. Our expectations of normality have changed. That's why I was for Mayor B's proposal in NYC. Of course I don't live there. I still would above been able to get my Big Gulp

I agree with you that we have likes/dislikes. But the problem is the escort would still charge the same rate for someone he is not attracted to and that someone would expect the same treatment/level of service because he is paying the same amount with those the escort is attracted to. IMO, a professional escort would hide their likes/dislikes well and satisfy his customer the same way as long as he is charging the same. I do know some do!

No what I would hope and expect if the escort is a stand up guy is that he would let the guy know ahead of time that he couldn't work with the client and would never charge him in the 1st place.

And that has been the age old argument. Yes, escorts sell companionship as their service but if they want to be treated like a legitimate business, they need to act like it. If there is some large section of the population that they cannot serve for personal reasons, like a certain race, overweight indviduals, or elderly individuals, then they need to reevaluate whether they are a business or something else entirely.

 

As for businesses that discriminate, I think public opinion is showing that it is not to be tolerated. Just observe the recent firestorm with Abercrombie & Fitch and that woman baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a gay couple. In my opinion, and it is my own, escorts who refuse a certain segment of a population based on their personal prejudice(s), are in the same category as those examples.

I didn't mean to restart a firestorm. But while I agree that normal business shouldn't be allowed to discriminate. Whether escorting is legal or not- it's a whole other ball of wax. If escorting is carried through to it's ultimate conclusion- that involves impinging into someone's personal space in a way that not even massage does. It's one thing to say I won't massage you because you are White, Black, Asian, Chartreuse and an entirely different thing to say I am able to kiss and be intimate with everyone. Following that line of reasoning, the escorts should have to take female clients if a female wanted to meet with them.

And you know there are legally permissible forms of discrimination in state and out of state college tuitions come to mind.

So would it be nice if there were no prejudices in this arena, yes obviously. But having an escort who is uncomfortable performing probably the deepest intimacy there is with a certain type of client is vastly different from refusing to massage someone or refusing to supply flowers or cakes to a same sex wedding.

And also just as obviously this should be conveyed to the client before the meeting ever occurs.

It's not that I condone discrimination. I don't. But this job/profession/avocation of escorting hits so close to what the escort does on a personal basis. I just don't know. It seems to me that if there is a type you know you aren't attracted to on a personal basis, and you know that you wouldn't be able to get beyond those feelings in a paid basis either--then this might be one of those cases where discrimination is ok to practice. I mean I would hate to end up hiring an escort who totally hated my type--either physique or ethnicity. It probably would lead to a not very fulfilling session for me. And as clients we do discriminate with our wants to. I mean for most of us there are escorts we would never hire for reasons such as to include race, physiques, looks, habits/practices, etc etc, etc.

30 Rock had an episode where they were trying out a new hi-def camera. The gag was that everyone who was filmed on it looked horrible - old, haggard - Pete walked in front of it and all I could think of was Mr Burns from The Simpsons. But when Alec Baldwin walked in front of it, they showed a younger clip of him - I think it was from "Dress Gray".

I'd never heard of that movie ( I just found out it was a miniseries not a theatrical movie). But here's a clip for your viewing enjoyment. Alec is shirtless for most of it.
