I had one provider tell me has a regular client who starts off with $1,500 offer for an overnight and then deducts certain charges from the $1,500 like meals, drinks, etc.. Is that normal? I tend to do two nights and I may negotiate on the rate, I pay for all meals, drinks, admission to any events, and they are welcome to anything I have to eat or drink in the house. I will ask ahead if they prefer I have on hand any particular snacks/soda. They have to pay for any major items for themselves. I'll pay their way into the museum, I'll buy lunch or coffee at the cafe inside, if they want something in the gift store, that's on them. Anyone have a different take on that?
