Damn that Collin Simpson pricing structure sounds exploitative. I'm so down to message with my subscribers. I hear you. I'm not about to start doing that, because I think it's unfair and inhumane. That said, I can understand how having hundreds of thousands of fans would require restricting access to your time.

My 2 cents: having two personas is - in my opinion - dumb. You are who you are. People are ABSOLUTELY going to find both personas and then it's just odd.

 

Just be who you are - a massage guy for those who want that, a sex worker for those who want that, and show what you want on OnlyFans but don't do the 'charge up' thing. Offer to create CUSTOM videos for fans – some guys are into feet, some are into armpits, some people wanna see your nostrils (everyone has their kink) – and they will pay extra to have a custom video made JUST for them. That's the model I have seen that works the best. I agree with the Netflix Trailer analogy. Where are you getting this info from? I can only speak for myself but almost every single Onlyfans I've subscribed to (and it's been many!) was either because the guy had super hot pics on his Instagram or Twitter and had the link to his Onlyfans prominently displayed on those profiles.

 

 

 

I really dislike this model and his "It allows people to customize their experience" just reeks of marketing sales-person speak to me. But hey, it's absolutely working for him! On his Onlyfans page, for instance, it clearly states that he only responds to DMs on his Onlyfans account (DMs on all his other social accounts go unanswered) and that DMs with tips attached get a higher priority. Even his merchandise is only available to buy if you already have an active subscription to his Onlyfans. Basically, he monetizes everything, hahaha. Very good business practice of course, because it allows to diversify.

I think I should clarify that I was trying to make a distinction between my escorting clients and my onlyfans subscribers. I'm comfortable having two different names because my escorting clients will find me as Joshua Mann for now, and my internet engagement will be united under one easy-to-search brand that better matches my content.

It's also worth saying that I'm not interested in extorting anyone. My onlyfans is already over-delivering, in my opinion. As I say above, and I think you were indicating before that, the heart of a 6month subscription is the connection through messaging and catered content. The content flows from my interaction with the subscribers, ideally, and messaging with them gives me a finger on the pulse of what people want to see from me. I'm finding that the most consumed content I'm producing is somewhere between my off-camera desires, and how people project that I am in the world. I'm not even convinced that dick pics are my selling point because I'm not hung, so I'm trying out new things and finding the niche. Right now, I think that is variety, so I can cast a broad net and focus down the road. I just started my first theme week, "Pool Boy Week" and have videos of me doing various sexy activities like skimming the pool, sweating in a lounge chair, inviting subscribers in to the day-to-day of gearing up for a poolside sex scene.

The scene is really hot and I just finished days of editing, and I'll ask a little extra from my subscribers to release that content on Friday. The others that aren't don't have to pay and will get access all the same. I have subscribed to a few guys on OF and one on JFF. I strongly prefer OF. In all but one case, I was drawn to the subscription via Twitter. So, I agree with your marketing plan. First time specials are also very attractive. Just think them through. One offered $5 for 1 week, when his entire month subscription was $6.99!

 

The main reason I have left a subscription is because of stale content. Some guys only add a pic or video once every week or two. That’s not really cost effective for the subscribers. Try to update your content often, if not daily. That way the user is constantly entertained. Also, try to start a dialogue with the user. Ask a question or two. It may get overwhelming, but the message center is a great place to make tips. The link is front and center when you are writing a message.

I think I'll silo Instagram and Onlyfans and continue to maintain Twitter and RentMen and JustForFans until I gain a larger following as Jonah on OF and Instagram. Then I can change my name on Twitter and rely on being known more broadly as Jonah. I have two reasons for this.
