I meant Jesse A. can't do INCALLS and I'll be staying with friends so I don't want a hotel overnight.
HOWEVER, thank you Baron. The St. Marks did renovate recently, they do not have bedbugs according to the registry, and, best of all, I called and the 2-hour rate for a Queen is still $60. I guess I'll just have to suffer Jesse for 2 hours instead of one :-)
I read the St. Marks reviews on Yelp and it sounds as if it is perfectly clean and serves its purpose, though I don't suspect this couple have the same purpose we do!

"My girlfriend and I were in New York and through several circumstances we ended up without a place to stay. So we tried the Saint Mark's Hotel. We went to the front desk and asked if they had a room. He said that they were all booked. So as we stepped back to rethink our options another couple stumbled in. The older man was very drunk. The young, slender girl was behind him looking very not drunk, bored and checking her nails. He slurred his words to ask if they had rooms by the hour. After a pregnant pause when the manager looked us over and them over, the manager said that they did and began working with them. I started laughing and we left. It was one of the funniest moments of my life.
I'm still enchanted by this hotel and I want to stay here one day."
