Is it because the quality is going down, or the "mystery" is gone? As much as I enjoy some, I think there's nothing like having a new guy, not sure what he's going to do next.

I think that's my problem. I found a great one, and I'm crushing like a girl in middle school. LOL

As for me, the answer is yes, it can be addicting and get out of control emotionally and financially. But I will say this: in my nearly ten years of getting massages I have met some of nicest most interesting guys and I would not trade it for anything. I’m friends with some now and see others occasionally. Yes there are bad, if not hilariously awful experiences, but those are few and far between. If one is careful and learns how to read ads so as to choose the good ones and avoid the bad, it can be a rewarding (sometimes expensive) way to interact with people and have genuinely good experiences.
 
Regardless of motives on either side, we are all still people looking for connection. If we treat others respectfully then the chances of the encounter being mutually rewarding are much higher. I’ve experienced this several times. Massage can turn into a genuine connection.
 
What I’ve also found is that I like giving massages as much as receiving them now. A good masseur can teach you a lot about how to receive the massage as well as how to give a good one. I have had more than one masseur tell me they are going to give me the massage they would like to have.
 
I think at the end of the day it all depends on what you are in it for and what you want to get out of it short term and long term. I see massage as a language of touch, a way to converse. Receiving touch is like listening to someone. Some masseurs have a lot to say I want to hear, others not so much!

“Kid I need a candy store” is a very accurate expression. Being closeted with no hope of ever being out, I feel this is my “one shot.” I have a few short years left where the masseurs just might be into me too. After that they’ll def be pretending.

The mystery of the encounter is intoxicating. And if it's a repeat encounter, and he goes straight for my sweet spot, well that's intoxicating too.....

I hear ya. I consider it a real compliment when the actual massage lasts five minutes or less when they work my shoulders and calves for 45 min, I’ll know th8ngs hav3 changed....

Yes, I also would never get a massage near my home. I'm in Asia, so massages are much cheaper, but can't get them except in certain countries. But then recently I got about 8 in a week. Maybe that accounts for my withdrawal pains now.....

I'm really new to all this massage thing, and thought that it might just be an occasional indulgence. But it's been a couple weeks since I last got a massage, and I think I'm having real withdrawal pains. Anybody else have this problem? Now just "regular" jo doesn't seem all that great. Maybe I should stop forever and break the addiction.

Probably nobody has a lot of new things to say here, but I'll be headed back soon, so if anybody tries a spa, please post here. If not, I'll take another one for the team and let you know.....
