Because one can’t always be bothered with “phone interviews” for something that’s not going to last very long. You want to talk on the phone for 15 min for a massage that’s going to last all of an hour? Reference the resources available per your potential masseur. It’s always struck me as odd that American clients need so much reassurance before booking. Speaking personally (and it may be a generational thing as someone mentioned above), I don’t need to talk to a client on the phone unless it’s a multiple hour session, overnight or weekend, as the logistics are a bit different. How enthusiastic an escort/masseur sounds on the phone or “answers your questions” isn’t always going to be reflective of his services. And on the same token, some people interview very well and do a shitty job.

What's the beef about VoIP numbers, like Google Voice?
hypothetically replied to + Phactor's topic in Questions About Hiring
Truthfully, he just sounds super paranoid, frustrated, or both. I always encourage clients to look at the bigger picture when an escort replies out of anger. Potentially a slow day, lots of flakes, etc. It’s not about VoIP nor you. -

Why Don't y'all visit Charlotte NC?
hypothetically replied to BicepAddict's topic in Questions About Hiring
Well you ARE comparing two different extremes. No city in the US can rival NYC’s market per the scale of its catalog. -

I also know my audience, @Mocha. I choose to pick my battles because beating a dead horse with a stick isn’t my jam. I catch flak going “tooth n’ nail” with providers on this forum all the time and quite frankly, I don’t give a shit. I gain nor lose, but they read my comments and maybe once in a blue moon someone will deem them insightful. My casual participation on this forum is nothing more than an exercise in my patience and writing. -
Posting your schedule ahead of time

I’d encourage you to do a filtered search on RentMen for “Visitors Only,” as this will show you all the providers coming to town which may have otherwise had little visibility on the grid for whatever reason. Speaking personally, I prefer giving little notice and not weeks and weeks because that results in a slew of inquiries a month (or more) old that don’t come to fruition. For me (with the exception of overnights/weekends) the further out arrangements are being made to meet, the less likely it is to happen. On a rare occasion someone may still be eager to meet you when you’re local two months later, but not often. Additionally, putting an ad in a travel destination will have you positioned in that cities’ grid for however far out your trip is, people will begin to think you’re a staple in the city and overlook your ad. I reap more rewards with “surprise attacks” because you’re “new” in town. -

Times have changed and you’re not the demographic they’re marketing to. -
IN. NO. WAY. Thank you for the reminder.

A lot of people seem to be stuck on this archetypal image of a drug user. “High functioning addicts” in our business are common. (CC: @marylander1940 )
-
Okay then, so how would you know what meth does to one’s productivity? An observation: you always come out the woodwork most aggressively about drug use, and with great conviction. That’s awesome you’re passionate about it (I wholeheartedly mean that) but you also seem to know the LEAST about substance abuse, so you yelling “ITS BAD!” and random things you’ve heard is motivated by nothing other than ignorance and that is why these topics get messy instead of informative. Coming from someone who has dealt with substance abuse first hand (and second hand)...it is slightly offensive and you are doing more harm than good. You’re saying a lot but you’re actually saying nothing at all. If you’re going to be an advocate for sobriety, make it make sense. Do it right.
-
Yeaaa this can also be attributed to people who are just lazy and irresponsible as fuck.
-
I hear you but how many times do we have to do this?
-
I agree. We need to stray away from scolding and stigmatizing and instead drop links to resources to aid those struggling with substance abuse. These topics are never productive and the commentary is often motivated by ignorance.

This topic always comes up and everyone seems to be completely oblivious to the fact that there are equally if not more clients who PNP than escorts, hence the glamorizing and increased visibility of “pnp culture” on hiring platforms. Escorts verbalize and advertise these vices because they are monetary. A client who enjoys PNP is eager, heavy-handed on the cash and can’t be bothered with the back n forth. That equals quick and easy money. But it comes with a detrimental price...one escorts are willing to overlook for a fat wallet. Everyone is always quick to point to the escort as the perpetrator, and it’s usually the opposite, but none of you would know that because it’s the elephant in the room and no client is going to talk openly about his relationship with PNP on the forum, so instead we scold the escort. If we’re going to continue to have this conversation, clients need to be held equally responsible for their role in this culture that is literally killing our community from the inside out, instead of further stigmatizing and painting the escort as the culprit. I have horror stories about walking into situations where clients are high.
-
I’d relax.
-
...”if the escort asks or cares” about his weight @Mocha.
-
...babe, that’s all of our clients. Your body is the last thing we’re looking at, I assure you. What you look like has no relevance to why the escort is there. If the escort cares or ask, he did you a favor and now you know who not to hire.
-
“Exclusive” is seldom an option anymore (if at all)..at least with my age group. Monogamy went out the window with condom usage. Monogam(ish) is the new monogamy.
-
....lol

Seems you’re looking for an escort.

I’ve always use Mobile Passport when entering NYC from abroad and i’m out of there in 15 min. I think it’s much better than Global Entry because it’s still not widely used, primarily because you can’t do it with every airline.

Pursuing clients was something I had a stern stance against when I began escorting. I thought I was above it and all I needed to do was show a little dick, give you a few angles, throw in some witty text, publish and ..boom, it’s raining clients. Incorrect. You have clients of course, but when you’re escorting in an over saturated market like NYC and you’ve exhausted meetings with all of your regulars, you are greatly limiting your earning potential by waiting for the phone to ring. When living in NYC during off peak season or if my business wasn’t trending as it had been on say, a more monetary week, I would absolutely pursue clients and there is no harm in doing so. It afforded me the opportunity to secure more regulars and make connections with those who were maybe not the most forward nor inspired. Not inspired/motivated doesn’t mean not interested. Sometimes you see something you like in a boutique and you just need someone to SELL it to you. Doesn’t mean you don’t want it. My earnings would not be where they are if I relied solely on being pursed. And I assure you, any escort who is doing exceptionally well is not only being pursued, but doing the pursuing. Most escorts prefer not to disclose that info because....ego, but if any type of business is not hitting its numbers, what does that business do? Not wait for the phone to ring. But on the same token, just because one is pursuing doesn’t mean he’s doing it effectively. I’ve stated elsewhere on the forum that it takes a very inventive/creative escort to keep his business afloat in a city like NYC.
