ShangriLa opens on Thursday at 226 5th Ave 4th floor. The new location is wonderful. Walls that touch the ceilings, great views of 5th ave too. The new low table shower fits a 7' tall person, with 24 water jets, a wash hose, and full rain shower head. Very modern look and feel. I wish Jack the best of luck. Always great service by professionals.

I recently had Jayson at Prime Spa Medford/Patchgue NY. I wish I asked for his private number, he was extremely playful, during and after the actual massage, I even extended my time to be with him. Last week, I experienced Andy in Mineola, novice massage, and requested a large tip at the end for lousy service. Skip him if you can.

Communication is key when starting massage, introduce yourself, get his name. Use his name to ask if he allows mutual touch. Your masseur may have limits, so inquire. With new masseur I expect a solid massage, and just a HE, sometimes I'm amazed the extras thrown in. (I tip $40-60) sometimes more With my regular masseur, we have an understanding what I expect solid 90 minute massage and I tip appropriately ($60-200) . If your happy with your regular masseur ask for his private number, remember in the spa they earn about 50% of the posted rate + tips, Outside the spa, they keep 100%.

No special skills, bad massage, but he was erect the entire time, and finally tugged down his pants. Lot's of MT, and a great session at the point. Had an interesting experience in Boston (Newton Heights) Ladyboy spa. $85 an hour, basic Thai massage, at end she(HE), allowed mutual touch, but he could not rise to the occasion. (Must be hormones). Negotiated tip (which I hate) I got less than what I paid for, and won't go back.

The other interesting experience outside NYC, while driving to my summerhouse, I stopped by to visit the Amazing Jeff "Tao massage" in East Berlin, CT. $120 p/h. Definitely not worth it. Jeff's TAO massage consisted of rolling your skin up/down, and light hand pressure in other area that he couldn't roll. At the end he allowed M/T along with HE. (I would avoid my mistake) visit rentmassuer instead.

Last week I visited Shangrila on 44th St, east of Madison Ave, had Mike again for 90 minutes, best massage since Dylan. Totally worth the trip. MT/ we both had HE. I always tip well, and this time went over the top to say thank you. I will be visiting him again next time I am in city.

Visited Shangrila this week, beautiful looking spa (3rd floor) Greeted with standard COVID-19 protocol (temperature check) assigned to Mike (Asian), excellent treatment, although he climbed on top of the table to reach my entire back (sitting on my ass). He suggested a table shower after, which was delightful.

Went to Babylon last week, the new guy is Asian/beefy, playful with strong massage skills. Tipped well, clearly not the same spa, limited English, now caters to tourist crowd. Babylon's Dylan is retired, call or text ahead for male to male service.

Visited Prime Spa on Jericho turnpike, Mineola, NY, Standard issue Asian massage, usual ending, nothing spectacular to report. Room walls don't reach the ceiling.

Visited 166w 27th street had the famous August (he works Thursday-Sunday 1-10pm) Well worth the visit, took care of every knot I had too. August started his career at Babylon 5 years ago. I also visited the other location at 105 w27th st. I had Antonio (twice), most likely since I arrived before 2pm, the early shift. I had Johnny, tall and lanky. and Ken (all muscle/beefy). Although I prefer to have Asian, they all did the trick and I had left happy each time. I think Babylon changed hands, haven't visited in two months, since Dylan retired.
