I think that "Tina - The Tina Turner Musical" is one awful mouthful of a title. Sounds actually like they couldn't decide to go with the standalone first name or a description of the show, so they just threw it all in. Meh.

Rodgers was lucky to have 2 amazing long-term partnerships with insanely talented lyricists. But he was unable to find that spark a 3rd time with any of the collaborators he tried after that. And they were an impressive group, actually - Sondheim, Harnick, Charnin, Peter Stone, Laurents, ...but none of those collaborations worked very well. I don't have much love for the 2 songs he wrote himself for the film of The Sound Of Music (to be honest, I despise "Something Good"), but they have become classics because of the iconic nature of the film. "The Sweetest Sounds" and "Stay" are two melodies I admire a great deal from this period of his writing, but he really never had another hit song in this time. Sad, somehow, for the man that Noel Coward once quipped could "pee melody."

Rodgers' estate (i.e. the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization) would have had to approve it, yes. But that doesn't mean they have to live by Rodgers' aesthetic myopia lol. In fact, they have also approved some new "music videos" that have been made of some of the classic R&H songs with new, more contemporary takes.

One thing is for sure, relevant or not - Rodgers himself would have hated this. He didn't like when people "improved on" his music - he didn't even like when his orchestrators got too clever and seemed to overshadow Rodgers' tunes. Not that he has any say in the matter now, of course.

I always check the RM reviews via VPN, so I can see the actual written ones. I don't put much credence in the other ratings on the site - they're way too general. But I figure, to a great extent, anyone who's gone to the lengths to actually write a few personal sentences might have an opinion worth considering. Especially since in the U.S. you can't see those comments without a VPN - so the fact that they're writing comments at all says something in of itself. I also look to see if the escort has been reviewed on Daddy's, and I look out here to see if anyone had made comments as well. I actually don't hire all that often - maybe once every few months - but I can't say that I've ever had a truly bad experience (a few haven't been terribly exciting lol, but not disasters by any means). If I go ahead and contact someone that I haven't been able to vet in some way. I feel I can usually get a very good sense of them from the way we email/text/talk beforehand. If I feel that things aren't clicking, I don't meet.

I hadn't noticed this fellow on RM before, though his ad says he's been on the site for 2 years. (Maybe he's relocated from elsewhere?) Private photos reveal face and cock, both nice. Though the pics certainly look amateur as opposed to proshot, which isn't really a red flag, but may speak to his experience in the field? I think Corden is a natural choice, and a good one. He's both a true member of the Broadway community and a popular CBS host. Will the fact of him hosting bring in huge ratings? Probably not. There's always been a niche audience for the Tonys, and that's how it is. I only bring it up because the ratings question always comes up, and over the years, the broadcast has tried to improve the ratings with guest appearances or celeb hosts that don't really have a connection to the industry, etc. My wish every year is that they don't worry about all that and just strive to do a quality presentation without a lot of mishegas. That said, one of the most annoying things to me in the last few years are the (thankfully short) appearances by Rachel Bloom, doing some truly obnoxious hopped up "fangirl on speed" routine to segue into commercial breaks. Classless, IMO, and out of step with the rest of the show. If they'd like to include Bloom in the evening, I'd love them to find something with more of a professional comportment for her.

Of course, one of the fun traditions of Purim is the various ways to obliterate Haman's name during the reading of the Megillah. Mostly with noise - but another tradition is to write "Haman" in chalk on the soles of your shoes and then rub/stamp it out. I don't think Jackman wouldn't have the acting range for the role in I Do, regardless. The problem with casting Marian is that she is supposed to be fairly young. Barbara Cook was 30 when the show premiered - I daresay that even that is a bit old for the actual character. (Remember that young Winthrop is her brother, not her son, and Mrs. Paroo can't really feel like a grandma yet - though I'm sure we've all seen productions where this was the case. Preston was almost 40 to Cook's 30, which I'm sure worked fine. But Sutton is 44, which to me is way too old for Marian in any situation. In fact, given our current crop of reliable leading ladies on Broadway, they're all a bit too old for the role. Not that that will stop any of them from being cast, I'm sure.

They rerun "All In The Family" - currently late Saturday night and late Tuesday night, and I never seem to tire of that show lol. Occasionally I'll watch bits of other sitcoms. I've never been a drag fan, so the RuPaul stuff holds no interest for me. But yes, it's a shame that they really aren't a gay-themed network anymore.

For me, I generally like guys to smell clean (I'm an Ivory soap guy lol - I'm not so fond of the typical commercial scented soaps like Dial, etc - or of heavy use of cologne/aftershave etc). But ripe armpits drive me wonderfully insane.

This is an interesting topic. But yes, racial guilt issues aside (i.e. the awkwardness of admitting that it may sound racist to talk this way, even though I don't think that's so much the point), I do think there's truth in it all. My thing, actually, is for redheads (or gingers as they are often called). I've had experiences with a few that have had this distinctive skin scent, which I find very very very sensual and alluring. A musky, almost rather "waxy" smell that I find really hot. I've had some guys tell me that it can definitely be a redhead trait, though I don't know that ALL redheads have it. Someone once also told me that he thought it was particularly so for men prone to freckled skin. I did once know a blond guy who had that same kind of scent when he got sweaty. (He was straight, and a student of mine, so way off limits. But I did take note of that scent lol.) In terms of African-American men, I actually haven't been with all that many, but yes, I do sometimes notice a different and distinct scent there - and hey, nothing wrong with that. But I do have to say, being an armpit guy - I think I've only had one experience eating a black guy's pits - and I didn't enjoy it because the taste was actually rather bitter to me - something I hadn't experienced with other races of guys. I don't know if it was just him or if I would find that to be the case with other black men, though.
