If you read carefully the thread you will see more references (besides the ones quoted by @Boomxyz ) that question the seriousness/honesty of a website that pretends to be for free.
 
I am not questioning their honesty. Up to now they have behaved like loyal friends and service oriented players, I like them a lot (I am talking about the people, the site has much to improve). I do question the sustainability of a model that do not include plans to generate an income. I want them to grow and be successful, I think they will have to charge for some services.

The initial business-plan was gone with our investor more than a month ago. I was trying to give you the current and insiders information:) Looks like yeh, you are right guys, we should start charging and hire more people to update the site more often:)

As always we share our visions here, collect your opinions and make the site better just like we did it from the very beginning. And this time it looks like despite our CEO’s current vision of a world’s first completely free escort site for everyone, people will treat Rentboy.pro better if it will start charging them. Odin, having couple of former Rentboy.com employees and one former Rentmen.com employee on board, we started up a new site http://Rentboy.pro which is based in European offshore where escorting is legal. The strategy is completely different this time.
The site is not commercial, we don’t charge guys for ads, we don’t sell anything, do not sell even advertisement. We do not collect any personal information. I believe that competition (and sunlight) create the most successful environments. I am not averse paying for good service either. Certainly Rentmen.com, which collects my monthly premium now, doesn't give a damn about my custom unless I have options which could affect that collection. If the Rentboy.pro site offers some responsiveness, I have no problem with a reasonable fee. I like their ideas and direction thus far.

I am learning more info as this thread progress. @Boomxyz is being honest, as much as he can. There has been a departure from the team who started the project. The partners still on board have different visions about the future of the website. The apparent contradictions in @Boomxyz posts have to do with that.

I've had words (very nice ones) with one of the guys who run the site. I don't feel that there's monkey business going on. I think it's legit. It's new, so there's gonna be some bumps and not everything is going to be perfect out of the gate. Give the site time and a chance.

No one from the crew met him yet and we didn't do Skype Approval, so I can not tell much.
The guy was in touch with us, asked some technical questions about Rentboy.pro, was very friendly and seemed to be good, easy going fellow

We all work volunteeraly, I don’t get anything except new creative experience. We have been having an investor previously who had a business-plan, but he didn’t get alone with my so called CEO and friend who was “infected” by that idee fixe to build an escort paradise.

The catch is not material. It’s more like our hobby and more about the idea of a new Rentboy and the idea of “we can do it better”. Our former Rentmen guy also works just against RM who treated him like sh... as well as they treated many other their former employees including @Irish69 who actually built your loyalty for them.
