I've had multiple masseurs ghost me, even after I had seen them several times each. One texted me a few hours before our appointment and asked me to reschedule for a session two days later; when I texted him to confirm the new time, he never responded -- ever. Another didn't reply to 3 texts spread out over a 24-hour period, then a third agreed to schedule a session -- and never replied when I suggested times and dates. They're all since out of the business. The first guy had a full-time job and took massage clients on the side, so maybe he reached a point where he didn't need the additional income. The other two (who were a personal and professional couple) eventually broke up and have both apparently retired from massage. All three were my favorite type, were good masseurs with nice extras, and I'm having a tough time finding a suitable replacement who lives locally -- keep my eyes open for traveling masseurs who fit the bill.

If you're talking about Ronnie, the tall Caucasian guy who partnered with Greg for 4-handed and also did 2-handed -- no clue. They broke up and moved out from each other (they used to live about a mile from me). Ronnie had an ad on rentmen.eu for a while that had his home base in Dallas, then he switched it to Waco, then he disappeared, so apparently he's out of the business. Greg re-surfaced on A4A looking for fun, so apparently he also retired from massage. I saw them individually and as a team, and they were great.

No idea why he blocked me -- every time I click on the profile, it's unavailable. I never even contacted him, but maybe he got irritated that I kept looking but not scheduling anything?

Re: Grey: physically he's not my type but I thought about hiring him because I saw good reviews on him, so I would check out his ad from time to time on rentmasseur and rentmen (he's massage only). Never pulled the trigger on hiring him -- and he blocked me. SMH.

Here's my contribution -- two sessions with a traveling masseur who was in Dallas for a few days. Session #1 was 2+ years ago in a hotel not far from my house. The hotel was in an OK area but seemed kind of sketchy (it closed not long after). The session went the full time; the massage was OK, he was fairly interactive and playful (but it was on a bed, which I'm not a fan of). Session #2 was about 18 months ago. This time the hotel was sketchy and in a sketchy part of Dallas. I arrived 15 minutes early and parked near his room, waiting for our appointment time to get closer before texting him to let him know that I arrived. For some unexplained reason I happened to back into a parking space facing his room when two young-ish guys (looked like rough trade) walked out and he walked out after them. The three of them chatted for a few minutes; the two guys went on their way and he went back into the room. I grew really uneasy and debated about whether to make up some excuse to cancel (it was dark, I was far enough away for him to not see me, and I'm pretty sure he didn't know what my SUV looked like, so it wouldn't have been an issue). I ended up keeping the appointment and wish I hadn't. I asked him who the guys were, and I think he said they had met that afternoon and were sharing a room, which was a mess. He used a table that time, but seemed drunk or high; he used regular body lotion instead of massage lotion or oil; and the massage was awful -- just rubbing the lotion on. I had scheduled 90 minutes but he went about 45 before he jerked me off and asked if I needed anything else. I said no, thanked him, paid him, and got the hell out.

I miss Ronnie and Greg. I use them individually and for 4-handed sessions and they were all very fun. Too bad they've quit the business -- they broke up, Ronnie's off the grid, and Greg is looking for hook-ups on a couple of sites.

I agree. My favorite type of masseur (masculine, hairy, daddy-type) has basically disappeared from Dallas, so I also look for travelers (or see Dale when he occasionally returns from Florida).

The link that Jojo posted two is a different Chance. That Chance is now in Philadelphia (must have been a job transfer; I tried to book him once and he was out of town for business, so massage was a side gig for him). Don't know anything about the "Chance" that you asked about.

I saw Rick (for the third or fourth time) in Dallas at Thanksgiving 2017. He's tons of fun, very charming, and the posted pics are pretty accurate. He's perhaps a little stockier in real life, but not overly so. He was based here for a week around this past T-giving but unfortunately away for a couple of days in the middle of that for holiday obligations, so we didn't get to connect. He's scheduled to be back here in about a month, and I hope to see him then.

Unless their ad specifies or they show pictures, ask if they use a massage table or if it's on the bed. I don't like massages on the bed, and once or twice I've forgotten to ask.

He and Greg, his former massage and personal partner, broke up, and Greg retired from massaging. He's still in the Dallas area, and I see him on a chat/dating/hook-up site -- but he seems to have gone off the rails a bit.

I had a negative experience w/ him and didn't even hire him. I perused his ad on rentmasseur a few times but never reached out because physically he's not my type. At one point, he asked if I hadn't hired him because I didn't like Asian masseurs. WTF???

Apparently the advertiser blocked me because I visited his ad multiple times without hiring him (he's not my type and I was very indecisive about whether to hire him). A dear friend ("A") had that hard conversation with me years ago when I was dating a mutual friend ("B") because he knew it would end in tears -- and he was right. And I knew he was right. SIGH. But I kept "A" as a friend when he kicked "B" to the curb because "B" was such a bastard.

Lord, the chatty Cathy type drives me crazy. There's been a traveling therapist who talked non-stop during the session, as much as I tried to ignore him. Gave him a second chance his last time through -- same thing. I'll not book him again. Fortunately, my go-to therapists would chat for a few minutes, then fall into silence -- aaah, perfect.
