My father died in 2000, I ran into her at the grocery store in 2002. That was the last time I saw her. I never liked her.

I wanted to clean out the card pouch in my wallet but I have so many things in there that if I remove some it becomes lose and the others fall out. Besides a wallet my father used to carry a change purse.

I still have a can opener. And yellow pages still keep getting dropped off at the front door. I pick it up to see if my step-mother is still listed then dump it in the garbage.

I keep my insulin in the refrigerator. I take one shot in the evening. I don't use pens; I have the little bottles that I fill the syringe.

Interesting that it's spelled Diego. That's the Spanish spelling. Since he's Brazilian it should be Diogo. But I guess more people are familiar with Diego. I think he's usually a top but he did bottom for Justin Owen.

Months ago I ordered two pillows from "My Pillow". Someone in the meantime posted that they had to be put in the clothes dryer. So I never opened the package. Last week I asked my landlord if he would do it. He did and last night was my first night using them. There were several sizes to choose from. I chose the smallest one for males. Still they were larger than I'm used to. The pillow cases I have didn't fit. I ordered two. One for my head and the other to snuggle. I sleep on my stomach and wrap my right arm around the snuggle pillow. I have slept on my stomach for so long that I can not sleep in other position in bed. I can doze/sleeping in my chair in the living room. The new pillows are nice but nothing special.

Yes! I have a rent box and still get some things like meds and Amazon delivered there. I do not want them left on my door step. I still subscribe to the TV GUIDE. I have since I was a teenager. My present subscription expires May 2010. I probably won't resubscribe. Since I'm dependent on my landlord to bring me my mail I often don't get it timely.

But that's only been since last April. I now keep my wallet and car keys in a kitchen drawer. I have less than $10 in my wallet. I can't remember how I got it since I've not used cash to pay anything long before I became housebound. On the news they've been talking about the new phones. $1000!!! Too dear for me! I have a landline phone and pay less than $5 per month.

I'm a dinosaur I don't have a smartphone.

People might not carry cash anymore but where do you carry your ID, driver's license and debit and credit cards?

I think most men carry their wallet in the back pocket. I got into the habit of putting mine in the front right one. Less chance of it falling out or a pick pocket taking it,

In my apartment complex years ago my old car was pranked by teens over several months. Pulling the rubber strip off the side. Stealing the radio antenna. Removing the gas cap. Same car - this happened on a Christmas Day - the doors were unlocked and someone rummaged through the car. Moved the seat. Stole a box of cookies. Someone gave me cookies and as I diabetic I didn't want to be tempted so I put them in the car so to give them to someone else. They were not in plain view. Same car. The grocery store began charging for grocery bags. So I kept several bags on the passenger side floor. The doors were locked this time. The passenger side window was broken. I'm guessing someone saw the bags and thought something was in them. The car was parked in a different place each time. Several times someone scraped the car tag off the licence plate. One year stole the licence plate!

I've seen that. Good question. What one work of art would a person save? I have to think about it. I realize that he is no Michelangelo but I do like Canova. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Canova

Placement[edit] A replica of David now stands outside the Palazzo Vecchio. On 25 January 1504, when the sculpture was nearing completion, Florentine authorities had to acknowledge there would be little possibility of raising the more than six-ton statue to the roof of the cathedral.[8] They convened a committee of 30 Florentine citizens that comprised many artists, including Leonardo da Vinci and Sandro Botticelli, to decide on an appropriate site for David.[9] While nine different locations for the statue were discussed, the majority of members seem to have been closely split between two sites. One group, led by Giuliano da Sangallo and supported by Leonardo and Piero di Cosimo, among others, believed that, due to the imperfections in the marble, the sculpture should be placed under the roof of the Loggia dei Lanzi on Piazza della Signoria; the other group thought it should stand at the entrance to the Palazzo della Signoria, the city's town hall (now known as Palazzo Vecchio). Another opinion, supported by Botticelli, was that the sculpture should be situated on or near the cathedral. In June 1504, David was installed next to the entrance to the Palazzo Vecchio, replacing Donatello's bronze sculpture of Judith and Holofernes, which embodied a comparable theme of heroic resistance. It took four days to move the statue the half mile from Michelangelo's workshop into the Piazza della Signoria. Later that summer the sling and tree-stump support were gilded, and the figure was given a gilded loin-garland.[10][11] In 1873, the statue of David was removed from the piazza, to protect it from damage, and displayed in the Accademia Gallery, Florence, where it attracted many visitors. A replica was placed in the Piazza della Signoria in 1910.[12] In 1991, a mentally disturbed artist named Piero Cannata attacked the statue with a hammer he had concealed beneath his jacket;[13] in the process of damaging the toes of the left foot, he was restrained.[14] On 12 November 2010, a fiberglass replica[15] of the David was installed on the roofline of Florence Cathedral, for one day only. Photographs of the installation reveal the statue the way the Operai who commissioned the work originally expected it to be seen. In 2010, a dispute over the ownership of David arose when, based on a legal review of historical documents, the municipality of Florence claimed ownership of the statue in opposition to the Italian Culture Ministry, which disputes the municipality claim.[16][17] In the mid 1800s, small cracks were noticed on the left leg on David which can possibly be attributed to an uneven sinking of the ground under the massive statue.[18]
