I'm of the old school when gay meant happy like in the Flintstone song "We'll have a gay old time". I find faggot offensive. Queer is okay. It means odd and I've often been told that I am odd.

I was never around anyone who used the "N" word. I had a friend who went to Oregon State in the 1950s where he became friends with a student who was from the Congo. His African friend told him that he didn't mind the "N" word because it had no context for him. He took offense at the monkey comparison.

The reason I sometimes use the word homosexual is because when I was young I knew that I was different. And homosexual was the word I found in the dictionary that described me. This was before gay was adopted.

The old expression "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". Being fooled once was enough. There are many good and kind people here in these forums. In fact I think that the the majority are. But remember too there have been some who have been banned for personally attacking me.

Many years ago I shared too much personal information with someone I thought was friend. That was a bad experience I never want to go through again.

Is it just a biological attraction to someone of the same sex or is there more to it? When it comes to politics and religion we are all over the place. So maybe it's just the attraction.

I've heard of some winners who quickly go through it but with this amount so great I think that would be hard to do.

I just watched the first episode. It centered around the family coping with Roseanne's death., Understandable. But now I hope that it will move on. John Goodman lost alot of weight. And Darlene's son is gay.

Several weeks ago because of my bad right leg - not due to the arthritis in my knees - I asked about having a home health nurse come visit me. I had one after I was in the hospital in 1999 and 2006. He told me he couldn't do that until I came in and saw him. I don't really how I could do that. I even called the County Health Dept to see if they had nurses who made home visits; they didn't.

This is why everyone must be judged as individuals and not as a part of some group.

I've been watching "The Purge" on the USA Network. In the recent episode the joke was told: What's the difference between a penis and a Christmas bonus? The wife will blow the Christmas bonus. How times have changed since the days when the word pregnant could not be said on "I Love Lucy".

I find tattoos to be distracting. Like on the dance shows when I see a tattoo I pay more attention to it than the performance. And now instead of just a picture some have words. And not just a sentence but a paragraph. And some too have a date in Roman Numerals. I want to know what they mean like when I see vanity licence plates. I'd think being with an escort or just a hook-up and he has a tattoo of a female that would be a turn off. Btw I hate carrots!
