I’ve only had one massage with him and I got the DIY, hands-off-the-therapist treatment. I understand – and have had prior experiences – scenarios in which the masseur was cautious on the first encounter and then subsequently was highly interactive. The threads here seemed to suggest that Oleks was more often DIY. Maybe a second round would be in order with some clear advanced communications.

Well, he has been certified as an Eastern European, so there’s that. Beyond that, I think it’s interesting that his second gallery item is a brief video. This seems like a template for many newer Eastern market entrants. Look forward to hearing from an actual client.

I think that there are some words missing in the middle of your post, but the deal is that his ad describes in general terms what he offers and how much it will cost. The posts here suggest that you could very well enjoy the type of massage he offers. If there is something specific - In terms of services - you would like to be part of your massage experience, the collective experience here seems to suggest that you can ask for it and Jake will be honest in response to your request. Regarding his self-identification as Str8 or otherwise and how that squares with your perception of his deal, I think we all have had different experiences with different masseurs who identify as one thing or another. I wouldn’t get too wrapped around the axle. At some point, curiosity can become obsession, which isn’t good for anyone. If you focus on your needs and his offered services, you’ll enjoy your time with Jake.

Thx. That’s what’s frustrating; reacting to something I was fine with before. I’ll ask for the hypoallergenic cream from now on. In your experience, do the therapist or client notice any difference between the hypoallergenic and non-hypoallergenic creams?

Some yellow flags: the Overview was written by a different person than the About Him section; and, the Education section is concerning... unless he has a fetish for places named California. This may take a reverse image search to learn more. The location is way off the beaten path, which may not matter if he is legit, as hot as he is.

Update ... for what it's worth: contact dermatitis. No big whoop; just unsightly and temporary. Allergist researched BioTone and there are multiple types, many with oil, which is what she suspects triggered it. I called the spa and they could only tell me "Biotone", which isn't really helpful in avoiding future cases. For those like me who think that the right combo of OTC topicals or antihistimines will take care of it: not going to work. Thanks again for the feedback.

I’ve had dozens of massages from legit full-service spas, mostly in DC. For the first time, last week my skin reacted to the massage cream. Small welts, some red and some with no color; on my lower legs and back of arms ... EXACTLY where the therapist didn’t wipe after with a warm towel. They don’t itch but they aren’t going away after a few days, even with OTC hydrocortisone cream and antihistamines. I’ve scheduled an appointment with an allergist, but wondering if the collective wisdom has had this experience.
