I am thankfully now in a house where the yard/landscape are taken care of by a service. For years I’ve preferred potted plants anyway, easy to replace or move around when I get the whim. I’ve taken more to succulents since the home is a “Santa Barbara” style and they look great around here. I’m in Florida so they mostly do well. I like experimenting with different ones to see how they do. This year we had some record temps, two days in the 20’s, so I lost a few.

And some are even affluent and conservative! Those I’ve met in other countries don’t really seem that interested in any of that in my experience!

I’ve never had any issues in other countries. Honestly though I don’t surround myself with or seek out those that are so wrapped up in politics that they can’t carry on a normal conversation. I’ve rarely had anyone ask me how I’m coping, as a gay person, with the current “situation” in the US. I just tell the the normal ones are all doing just fine!

I finished 6 books in Rachel Reid’s “Game Changer” series and then her last two, “The Shots You Take” and “Time To Shine”. All great reads. Now I’m about 5 chapters into “Red White and Royal Blue”, it’s cute, easy reading. Next up is a biography about Rodin, I’ll need a break from romance after this book

I was reading another post about paying up front and didn’t want to hijack that post so I’ll ask it here. There was a lot of talk about leaving the money in an envelope out in the open. I’ve never paid cash for service, only cc or app based payment. So my question is, are there really that many paying cash or is it more electronic these days?
