Believe it or not I have over dosed on nonfiction books on the World War II naval war in the Pacific. Am currently reading my fifteenth book on the subject - "Sink Em All: Submarine Warfare in the Pacific" by Charles A. Lockwood. I saw the film Midway which picked by in interest in reading something about the Battle of Midway. Being the obsessive compulsive I am, it just mushroomed from there. I still have nine more book to read on the subject. I tend to get hooked on a certain subject and then go way overboard.

I realize that this is way early but since a question regarding places to stay has already been asked I decided to go ahead and post some gay hotel/resort options for guys who are considering attending The Palm Springs Weekend for the first time in 2021. This timing question invariably come up every year. Oliver winters in Palm Springs and returns home to the Midwest on the first of May. During February and the early part of March the weather is frequently too cool for a pool party. Easter definitely is a factor during late March or early April depending on the year. Sam.fitzpatrick is also correct in stating that during the Palm Springs winter season there is some event or other scheduled almost every weekend. As MikeBiDuke has said flat roof are quite common here in Southern California particularly in the dryer parts of the state. One sees a lot of them in Palm Springs for example. If your family contractor finds the rest of the house sound and in good condition I wouldn't worry too much about having a flat roof in Hollywood.

I got my one and only tattoo in 1975 on my 35th birthday. I wanted to do something no rational, normal 35 year old high school teacher would ever do. I went to the Long Beach Pike and had a scorpion tattooed the the back of my right shoulder. I have NEVER regretting it. Now fast forward to the mid 90's. It seems to me that lately more and more of versatile and bottom guys that I find appealing are NOT listing kissing as something they are into. If this guy listed kissing as something he was into I'd hire him in a split second. Sam.fitzpatrick is absolutely correct. The drive from LAX to Palm Springs is a TOTAL bitch. You have to cross the entire city and traffic is impossible anytime of the day. If you can't get a flight direct or connecting into Palm Springs then Ontario is definitely the best. Do NOT even fly to Palm Springs connecting at LAX. Even Orange County is better than LAX. Avoid LAX like the plague. Connecting to Palm Springs through Phoenix works well.

There is also a problem with the word "detailed". What I consider "detailed" reviews haven't been allowed around here for years thus I haven't posted any reviews in years. Posting any type of review without naming the escort isn't terribly helpful to other participants on this site. If you simply want to post an experience and ask for comments tame it down and post it in the Lounge.

For years I used to see an escort who reveled in referring to himself as a “who” or “whore”. I have frequently referred to myself as a whoremonger. Getting upset over the use of these words is silly. In nearly twenty years of hiring escorts I have made it a point of never hiring an escort for a single hour. I hire for two hours of play time and one hour for lunch or dinner. Only after a couple of successful arrangement like the above would I ever consider approaching an escort regarding the possibility of setting up and extended get together (a weekend or longer). At that point we know each other and he would be perfectly aware that I’m not a time waster. I’ve also learned that the escort’s fee will frequently depend partially on how much he wants to visit my proposed destination. He is far more likely to discount a week in Rome or Paris than a week in Death Valley.

Overnight rates frequently depend on whether or not the escort likes them. Let's say an escort charges $300 per hour and $1,500 for an overnight. This is a pretty good indication that he is not terribly interested in doing overnights. In order to equal his $1,500 overnight fee he would have to do 5 one hour appointments at $300 in one day or evening -- not terribly likely on a regular basis. Even if he charged $900 for an overnight he would have to do 3 regular one hour appointments to equal that amount. An overnight usually includes dinner and breakfast so those are added benefits. However, if the escort doesn't enjoy that extended period of intimacy with a client, and some don't, the hourly to overnight ratio is meaningless. Some escorts prefer one hour slam/bang one hour in and out appointments they don't want to be bothered with the extended togetherness of overnights.
