Lucky the answers to your questions are simple. At this point in time there are NO answers. There may or may not be answers around the end of February. My UNeducated guess is that by February or March there will NOT be a successful vaccine though there may be a more effective treatment than currently exists. Everybody is going to have to decide for themselves what they are willing to do and not willing do. I am flying to Puerto Vallarta on November 7th for a week -- that is my choice. I am flying to the Midwest to accompany Oliver on his road trip to Palm Springs the end of January -- that is my choice. I'm still on a World War II in the Pacific kick. So far I've read twenty books on the subject. I just finished the final volume, "Twilight of the Gods" of the Pacific War Trilogy by Ian W. Toll -- outstanding. I love the Wagnerian title. I am currently reading "Clash of the Carriers: The True Story of the Marianas Turkey Shoot of World War II" by Barrett Tillman which I'm quite enjoying. Next up is "Master of Sea Power: A Biography of Fleet Admiral Ernest J. King" by Thomas B. Buell. I read Buell's The "Quiet Warrior: A Biography of Admiral Raymond A Spurance" and very much enjoyed it so I'm looking forward to the King biography. I would also recommend E.B. Potters two biographies "Bull Halsey" and "Nimitz" both are outstanding.

My father's family immigrated to the U.S. and settled in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Rock Springs is directly west of Laramie. The family was and many still are very conservative Roman Catholics. Once upon a time tattoos where very much a navy thing. Those times are now long gone. Ten or fifteen years ago the clean cut, gym body all American look was the in thing for escorts. Rates can vary greatly in all markets. It frequently comes down to what the traffic will bear. As I am soon to be 80 I would guess that, at best, I have ten to fifteen years more to live. With the above, in mind, I sincerely believe that my choices as an older person of a “certain age” are quite different than those of a younger person of a “certain age”. I recently attended the wedding of my great niece and upon returning home I self- quarantined for two weeks. The end of next month a friend and I are taking a two-day road trip to the Santa Barbara area of California. Upon my return I will self-quarantine for two weeks. On November 7th, a friend, from this site, and I will depart for a one-week vacation in Puerto Vallarta. Upon my return I will self-quarantine for two weeks. From the 22nd of December to the 26th I will be in Laguna Beach. I have always loved Christmas and have decorated my condo for the many parties I host during that time. I will be 80 the 24th of next month. I plan to attend the Palm Springs Weekend whether there is an effective vaccine or not (frankly I do not believe there will be). I will certainly wear a mask in crowded public places. If restaurants are open and social distancing is practiced, I will use them. I went out for breakfast this morning and for the first time in weeks I actually wore a collared shirt, slacks and a pair of loafers. Frankly if I die in my sleep tonight, I have had one hell of a great life and I refuse to stop living it simply because of covid19
