  1. I’ve been to Babylon a few times (awhile ago) and had no idea they even had a table shower room. Time to set up my appt.
  2. Well, i have a NON-recommendation....and that is Bruce.
  3. Wondering if this is the same Jerry from East?
  4. Troy is still there?! That is GREAT news. He was one of my faves there.
  5. After more than a year, I’m thinking about treating myself to what was my favorite (and I know a lot of ppl here don’t agree): Supermen Spa. Seems my top masseurs have left since i last visited. Anyone been recently? Recommendations?
  6. Sounds like either Yura (Russian from the Asian part), or maybe Mussa (sp) who is youngish Egyptian/Italian (IF he’s still there). I’m inclined to suspect the former. Some of his techniques were kinda painful and with every “whoa!” And “ouch!” I uttered, his only response was “I’m sorry” (as he continued anyway.). I should’ve reminded him that this is not a physical therapy session; chill with extreme leg stretching dude.
  7. Yes. I’d avoid Bruce. Others here have recommended William and I’ll probably be requesting him next time.
  8. I ended up getting “Bruce”. Less-than-stellar experience, plus the upcharge question and having to pay BEFORE the session added up to me being a tad annoyed. If i do Energy again, i will try William next time.
  9. As sit here in Boston Market on 23/8th, i’m so tempted to try Energy Men just two doors away. Soooo tempted. Hmmm. If i decide to go, I’ll report back thumbs up or thumbs down.
  10. Because I’m a late-night worker, I usually go earlier in the day around noonish (most of the spas open about 11:00-11:30). This has worked well for me in terms of massage quality—the masseur is fresh and not tired yet and with so few other customers that early, he tends to take a few more awesome, ahem, liberties. The only downside is that most of the “in demand” masseurs mentioned in this thread seem to never be available until the afternoon. I went once at night, before closing, to Greenhouse. I was a tad tipsy after leaving the bar and was the very last client. We had the place to ourselves and the experience was quite memorable. The masseur was George. I went once to Babylon very early in the morning, immediately after working all night, around 8am (Babylon Is an exception as they’re open 24/7!) and that was friggin’ amazing! The Masseur’s name honestly escapes me—I think it was Jasper or Jessie or something like that. Slim, 30ish attractive and VERY skilled Thai guy (who, the entire time, I thought was Central or South American until I asked). If it’s during the weekend, my times are random and the experiences more hit or miss. As with all of this, your mileage may vary.
  11. This is very good news, as one of the spa 27 Masseurs told me he left permanently. I definitely would like to try him or Yura (maybe both?).
  12. When i asked the days he works the reply was “oh he no longer works here.”
  13. I just had him today. His name is Mussa (sp?). He told me he’s Italian/Egyptian. It was an enjoyable scrub & massage session. Oh, and not sure if somebody’s already mentioned it, but i was informed Ahmed is no longer at 27.
  14. Yes. I do the viagra thing just about every time as well. I like to make SURE I’m rock hard and enjoy their reaction upon the “turn over” request. And then, it’s soooo very awesome when you see (and feel) their raging hard-on as well (when it happens).
  15. My vote is for Ricky. Nicely toned, hot and handsome, and DEFINITELY loves what he does. I just recently had a 60-minute session with him and I truly feel his technique, his demeanor and his friendliness are hard to beat. From the moment I entered Utopia, he was professional and very welcoming. Upon first laying face down (wondering if his friendly demeanor matched his technique), it was clear—from the moment he laid his firm hands on me—that he’s genuinely experienced and knows how to relieve tightness and muscle tension in the right places. Ricky is intuitive and his pressure was perfect, without my needing to guide him or remind him to use more/less pressure. It all felt so goooood, and he was completely accommodating. The hour-long experience was one of those rare massage sessions where, I continued to feel his firm hands all over me long after I left. (I’ve only felt this with two other masseurs at other spas.) While the other masseurs at Utopia are all friendly, and it’s generally a well-run place, Ricky is the one masseur who I’ll return to as I kinda feel i don’t need to go anywhere else. He seems pretty booked on most days, so if you can score an appointment with Ricky, go for it.
  16. This so much reminds me of that scene in “Airplane!” “Excuse ma’am. But I speak jive..” :D:p
  17. Very much agreed. It just strikes me all as common sense.
  18. Yes, he’s a big Costa Rican with a bunch of tattoos. I’ve heard he dyed his hair pink, but have no idea if this is still the case. Nice guy, but the massage itself was awful.
  19. I honestly don’t see the hype with this place either—at all. Not that I’ve had a horrible experience. And not so much of the walls or any upselling. But it’s just purely mediocre to me. I had Ariel, who, contrary to opinions here, was horrible and awkward (technique-wise). I had Tony (before he left), he was great. And I had Victor, who was good and strong (and maybe too strong). Aesthetically, a rather dark, drab depressing place. And the walk past the front desk to/from the shower with just my towel on—all while being gawked at by awaiting clients—means a terrible floor plan. But at least they’re nice, I guess.
  20. :D:p:D I, for one, knew exactly what you meant. And agree.
  21. I went once years ago. A sunday. Lots of guys milling and lounging around, but witnessed NO action. They seemed pretty strict about “inappropriate behavior” at that time. Felt it really wasn’t my thing (seemed grimy), but i should probably give it another try.
  22. By no means does this apply to all non-black gays, but there really are a surprising number of gays (white, Hispanic, middle eastern and Asian) who, secretly, are attracted to black guys, but because of something else going on, won't express their attraction or admit to it in from of their friends or anyone else. Many even seem downright embarassed and ashamed as if it's some type of secret guilty pleasure they don't want anyone to know about, lol. (BTW, the situation is a whole 'nother story when I'm overseas for business). I'm black. And have experienced it more times than I can count. But it's kool. I'm 100% attracted to all races/ethnic backgrounds regardless, so more for me.
  23. Thanks for the heads up. I am aware of the horrors of punishment re homosexuality in the Mideast. But my question was more for recommendations of any of the handful of male massage spas, hotels or hamams that openly (and legally) exist in Doha (as they also do in the UAE, Turkey, Oman, Morocco, etc). I'm sure the govt wouldn't like any male-to-male sex there, but massages really are wholly permissible. A few of these establishments have mixed or poor reviews (if reviewed at all) and wondered if anyone here has experienced any of them in Doha. I will be careful.
