Anyone have experience with norik or Frances at top men? Any details appreciated

    I had Norik last month.

While he had a decent, skilled massage technique, I personally won’t be repeating a session with him and cannot recommend.

    Avoid.

    OMG.

I just left there today and you were so very correct  (completely forgetting you had advised against him).  Truthfully, I have not had such an inexperienced masseur as Mateo in a very, very long time—like years.  The awkward super loooong pauses as if he’s trying to figure out what to do next.  The super slooooooow strokes with all the pressure of an arthritic grandmother.   The dryness and overall lack of anything—(forget about any extras; he had such a hard time with the massage basics, to the point I sensed he hates the job altogether).  Poor guy.

Yeah. I have to echo you EvDude....  AVOID.

Went to Top Mans Spa for the first time. It's nice spa, good table scrub and had Norik for my massage. No real massage skills, the next day I was in severe pain. Would not repeat.

I had my 5th visit there last week.  Since the masseur I requested, Max, wasn't available that day, the phone guy offered Sebastian, Francis and Norik, to which i wasn’t familiar with any of them.  Chose Norik randomly.

While he was fairly attractive and had relatively acceptable massage and interpersonal skills, I won’t be requesting him again, and wish I would’ve chosen one of the other two masseurs.

Does anyone know what has become of August? He was my all-time favorite. I first encountered him at Babylon years ago and then would see him privately. I would see him when I was in town at 27 but it is now closed. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t know what happened to August, but Spa 27 has reopened since about a month now.   Maybe he went private?

I never had Sam but Ragin was out of sight! (He had mixed reviews here and a few others’ experience were apparently not the same—but he was absolutely off the charts with me!).

As to your question, Alpha Mens Spa (W. 36th/9th Ave) has a black masseur (I forgot his name). He’s professional and friendly with a decent technique and gives an average ending. Just not really enough of my type physically.   I guess I just really want Ragin again.

Would you say $180 / 60 mins for a private session is worth it?

As a tip?  I’ve never hired a masseur as a private in/out session.  But IMO, I would think that’s a tad overdoing it. (And definitely overdoing it for a spa session.)

I don't really frequent Spas in NYC - but this profile caught my eye and he ("Sergey") claims to have worked at a well known Spa in NYC.  Anyone recognize him and can maybe recommend him?

    Thanks!

Sergey works at 27 Mens Spa. He is my #1 favorite among all of NY spas.  He’s amazing and we mutually click very, very, very well.

I tip him unlike no other.  Happily so.

So most of the masseurs are Asians? Is it okay to call the spa to ask if there are Latinos or Caucasian or Black masseurs under 28 years old before coming in? Or do they just assign to you whoever is free?

I know once when I called Alpha Men’s Spa to ask who’s available, he voluntarily replied “we have one Asian, one black, and one latino available right now.”  (I’ve tried each of them since their opening).  Generally, None of these spas really seem offended if you ask the masseurs’ ethnicity as they know everyone has a preference.  In terms of diversity, my personal experience is that Spa27, Shangrila, Top Men, Super Men and Utopia have the most diverse set of masseurs.  (I haven’t been to the last two in over two years, but I assume it’s the same).

I’ve never inquired about the ages of masseurs, but they’ll probably answer that for you as well.

Hey everyone - new to the forum and hoping someone might be able to answer my question.  I went to Shangrila for the first time a month or two ago.  On my way out I saw a guy that I thought was a masseur - probably late 20s, could have been Asian, Latino, or mixed, and was VERY beefy (huge arms, huge chest).  Does anyone know who this might have been?  Looking at their schedule now, they show Ko, Matt, Mike, and Shawn working there.  Thanks!

Sounds like it could be Ko.

  10. I visited Top Men two days ago. Everyone is correct, the place is big and the customer service and pleasantries were top notch. I even spotted a working ATM (which is rare at the other spas).  The receptionist told me they have 15 (!) masseurs currently (and still hiring for more).  I had room 4 and it was huge. My masseur was Victor (slim latino) and his massage skills are fantastic.

I will be back to Top Men.

Does anyone know what typically happens to clients when a spa gets raided by the police?

From what I’ve read from past comments where this has happened, generally nothing.  Seems the cops just ask the clients to leave.  I apparently missed Spa 27’s raid last week by just a couple of hours.  I bet their masseurs will all be complete “professionals” for a while after they reopen.

  12. Does anybody have any experience with Morning Dew Spa in the Village? (7th Ave / Perry St).  I just noticed it yesterday while walking around the area. Until now, I’ve never noticed it nor heard of it.  They seem to have good reviews on Yelp.

    Any recommendations?

27 men spa has both locations closed. They were raided by the police and under cover cops.

What!!?!?   I was just there last week (on the very day you posted this), and tried out Javier for the first time (new, but pretty good masseur—super cute latin guy with a boxer’s build).   27 has definitely been a top favorite of mine, as I’d book at least twice a month.

Ugh. These raids and closures really bug me. don’t these cops have bigger fish to fry?   So upsetting.

  14. Hey Guys,

Does anyone know what happened with The One Men’s Spa on 18th/ 8th Ave? Walked past today and saw a NYPD notice on the door saying it had been closed down...

I saw that too. One of the signs read “Prostitution”. Couldve been due to a simple HE, who knows. But of all these spas, I’m genuinely surprised The One got stung—my experiences there have all been the most G-rated of any of them with no hint of “activity”.

At any rate it sucks for everybody because now it puts all the mfm spas on G-rated notice for a while (I would think). It reminds me of the time when the old Hero got shut down at one point; a simple HE at other spas was hard to come by for a few months.

  15. Hi. Have you tried either of them? How was the experience?

Antonio (from Spain), Marcos (no sure).

See all the names here: this week's masseurs

I’ve tried Marcos. He’s Brazilian. Slim/lean, tallish and resembles Enrique Iglesias (to me at least). Friendly, talkative and accommodating with sufficiently decent massage skills. He’s sensual (but *only* sensual and not much more beyond tht).

  16. He’s a tall (6’2-3?) lean muscular black dude. Very handsome! I actually don’t know if he was at Super Men, but I just assumed it’s the same guy based on what I read here.

Yep. That’s him. In my 3-4 years of doing mfm spas, he’s hands-down among one of my top 5 masseurs. My sessions with him were alwys off-the-chart when he was with Super Mens. Ridiculously amazing session.

That said, i suppose his energy might be inconsistent at times, as a few members here commented that they were underwhelmed and he lacked interest. As always, and with every masseur....your mileage may vary.

  17. Does anyone know of a spa that offers a nuru-style massage?

I need to know this as well. My very first mtm massage involved this with a super hot therapist at the old Hero. I havent had one since, nor do I know where he went.

  18. Any pictures or description of Andy at W Men’s Spa?

He’s muscular, about 5’10”, Chinese. Masculine, not twinkish (late 30s) and has amazing technique.
