This was my physician’s view. The gabapentin didn’t work as well as I’d hoped, and I wanted something more effective, but he wouldn’t prescribe stronger meds because of the side effects. Ultimately I survived and he was probably right, but I was not happy with him at the time.

I took gabapentin for several months in 2017 to treat post-herpetic neuralgia (nerve pain associated with shingles). It reduced the pain though didn’t eliminate it, even at max dose. I didn’t notice any side effects. Public Service Announcement: get your shingles vaccine!!

www.irvinespa.com ISpa (Irvine Spa) has partially reopened and is 10-15 minutes drive from Anaheim. I believe the showers, dry sauna and hot tubs are open, but the steam is not. I haven’t been back but BC (before COVID) it was always clean and well maintained. It’s a Korean spa, good for eye candy, but not really a place for actual hooking up on premises. In case you wondered. You might want to call before going to confirm what facilities are open.
