Just to clarify “Doxyprep”… I think you mean DoxyPEP. It stands for doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis. It’s not something you’re really “on”, it’s taken as needed, typically within 72 hours after potential exposure to certain STIs like chlamydia, gonorrhea, or syphilis. It’s different from PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), which usually refers to daily medications like Truvada (emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate) or Descovy (emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide), used to prevent HIV. Those do require consistent, ongoing use.
