  1. I'm scared the same thing will happen if minimum wage does get increased to $15 an hour. I'm sure we'll see a lot more kiosks at fast food places and they'll be common like they are in Europe. We pay our college interns $18 an hour and they are thrilled to be making that much but if a McD's worker is making that I can see them asking for more money. And I'm sure like with Kroger's that have recently closed, if a merchant is on the fence about closing due to profit margins and their lease is up just closing the business.
  2. Thanks for the heads up on the pie company. May use them for Easter. My favorite so far is the double chocolate babka from Onek bakery. I like to put in my toaster oven at 300 for a few minutes to warm it up. If you are into the credit card point game there are a couple good deals out there. Some Am Ex cards in their sing up offers have $50 off a $100+ goldbelly purchase and it can be used up to three times so I bought three different $100 e-gift cards. Figure it saves 50% and if you have a chase card with pay yourself back Goldbelly works in their bonus categories through at least 4/30. It is expensive but I figure I'm saving a lot of money not travelling and it helps to keep these small businesses I like to patronize when I can travel in business.
  3. Found out about Goldbelly this week. Expensive but great way to get food from places like NYC now that I can't travel.
  4. Jaxton Wheeler. He's looking awful with that beard and has a few bad reviews.
  5. One I thought of that was AWFUL and we almost left at intermission was Nunsense 2. A friend of mine loved Dody Goodman and Dawn Wells and wanted to see it since they were starting in it in Detroit. I have been to some bad shows but wanted to leave at intermission and dozed off in the second act. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Naked Boys Singing on here. Nice eye candy but no real story line and no good songs except the opening song.
  6. And Julie's husband wrote it. Sort of like Jeckyl and Hyde. I like Deborah Cox as a singer for the genre she is known for but she was awful as Lucy in Jekyl and Hyde. Frank Wildhorn clearly wrote that role for his then wife. Linda Eder was meant to play that part. It's too bad she never returned to broadway, I know she took some time off to be a mother but she is a very talented singer. There are videos of Linda performing Someone Like you and a new life on YouTube. Would ahve loved to have seen the show with her in it on Broadway.
  7. I loved Victor/Victoria. I really wanted to see it when Liza was performing her role. I saw it travelling but love the music (but I'm a huge fan of Frank Wildhorn and Linda Eders). I've seen the DVD of the live production and liked it. May have to do with the talent in it also. My friend that saw it in the local travelling production with me loved that performance but he also saw it with Toni Tennielle and said she was awful. One thing I didn't like about the production with Liza is I love the song "crazy world" that closes out act one and when Liza was in it they replaced it with the song "who can I tell" Not sure of the reasoning behind that.
  8. I almost hired him a couple years ago when he was in Detroit visiting, sad he let himself go over just a year. When he was dating Mason Lear those two were always getting high live on facebook He's dated Leo Forte now and they produced a video together on kink and he looked awful.
  9. Brian Bonds, I used to think he was hot but he looks like shit since covid. Dominic Pacifico another one I'd have loved to have hired five+ years ago that is still escorting and doing porn that hasn't aged well.
  10. Thinking of hiring him when I"m in Miami in a couple weeks. Cute photos and he claims to get into kinky play which is a requirement when I hired these days.

  12. I loved her in the Sonheim Birthday special when Patty Lupone sang "Ladies who lunch" and when she Patti said does anyone still wear a hat, they showed Elaine wearing a red a hat. That was Elaine's big song and was great how her and Patti hugged after Patti finished singing it. Was cool that Patti played that part in the revival of Company after in the West End. I liked her performance at the White House too and felt really bad for her. She acted like she had dementia when she was singing, she sang "I'm still here" for the Obama's and used the opening line she used at the liberty and forgot the punch line and she messed up a couple lines in the song and her pianist had to help her out with a couple of the words she forgot but she still got a standing ovation from the Obamas. I liked her in the show Two's Company and she said "does anyone still wear a hat" as a line in on of the shows and "I'll drink to that" in another episode, you'd have to be a true Stritch fan to catch the humor in those.
  13. Florida, but liked Mrs. Maugatuck also. I didn't care for Victoria, fortunately she wasn't in that many episodes.
  14. I think Bea and Elaine are very similar. Elaine did a show called "nobody's perfect" that I wish they would put out on DVD that I can't find anyplace that ran for a few seasons in the UK. I'm told it was like a UK version of Maude which is a show I love to this day.
  15. I saw Bea perform her one woman show in Toronto and she was very funny. Her and Elaine have similar qualities, they both say what's on their mind. The recording is one Apple Music. I thought it was funny to hear her talk about how much TV changed over the years. They wouldn't allow her to say "son of a bitch" in an episode of Maude and in the pilot of the Golden Girls Sophia called Dorothy's date something like a duffus and the line was suppose to be he's a douche bag and they wouldn't allow her to say douche bag on the air back then. I loved Maude even though I was really young when it came out. She said Walter's alcoholism was a taboo subject back then and it was the first tv show to have characters go into a gay bar and her having the facelift was a big deal. And I don't think I've seen any tv shows in years where they discussed a woman having an abortion
  16. I think she would have been great as Sophia LOL
  17. I would have loved to have seen Stritch at Libery live. I own the DVD. I have to wonder about the part about the Golden Girls though since she said she tried out for a CBS show and Golden Girls was on NBC. I was fortunate enough to see her live in A little night music with Bernedette Peters. I saw it with the original cast of Angela Lansbury and Cahterine Zeta Jones and wasn't something I wanted to see again but wanted to see those two together, they should have done a rerelease of the cast recording, those two were a lot better. I still laugh remember watching her on the Today Show and her saying Fuck and the censors never caught it:)
  18. Drowsy was great. I love Sutton Foster (I think it was her first show after Thoughly Modern Millie). Also saw it in West End because Elaine Paige was in it.
  19. I'm surprised at the people on here that didn't like cats. The movie wasn't good but loved the musical. Memory by Betty Buckley is one of my favorite songs and would have loved to have seen it with her in it. My one cat Tugger is named after a character in Cats I liked.
  20. I'm going to South Beach soon and was looking for someone to hire there and he is hot but looking at his reviews on RM I'll pass.
  21. I saw it in Chicago pre Braodwaying a nd was very disappointed. Reason I went was because I love Andrew Lloyd Weber and after I bought the tickets found out the Trib called it a disaster and I was surprised it made it to broadway. I didn't walk out of the show but thought about it. Starlight was a lot better than Stephen Ward though. I heard Love Never fails was also a flop, Weber used to be great but his musicals lately have all sucked. Weber wrote his own musical of Cinderella that was suppose to have opened this year in the West End. Who knows if that will happen, hopefully it's better than the last few musicals he's written.
  22. One I'd like to ad is Van Darkholme. I never remembered seeing an ad from him and love how tall he is for an asian, great body and great at bondage and bdsm.
  23. Bonding season 2 was just released. Wish the gay guy in it was the pro dom instead of his fri3end lol.
  24. I would have been too young to see it, but Patti Lupone's brother had a part and was nominated for a Tony for best supporting actor for Chorus line. I should see if the library has the cast recording of the original cast when I go there this afternoon. Not a musical I ever wanted to see but would be cool to hear Lupone perform
  25. I hope the op is messing with us. He also didn't know who Sheena Easton.
