    GARY BOND (1940 – 1995) in Wake in Fright (1971) was an English actor. The film, sometimes called Outback, debuted on the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival in 1971. It was considered lost until a copy was discovered, restored and shown at Cannes in 2009 making it one of only two films shown twice in the history of the Cannes festival. Known mostly as a theater actor, GARY BOND was openly gay.
