There is a wide spectrum of what people consider are reasonable tipping practices. I am, it appears, at one end of the spectrum; I routinely tip 30% or more to a sole proprietor; especially, when the occasion warrants it. Since I tend to see the same guys over time, I appreciate that they are happy to see me and willing to accommodate my schedule and interests. In some spa instances, I have tipped anywhere from 75 to 100%. I tend to like the guys I see regularly and I am generous to friends.

@Cubist I agree. I thoroughly enjoy my sessions with StrongStrokes. In fact they have gotten better over time.

I have never been disappointed at Greenhouse (Tony, Allen, and Owen), with the exception of those face pillows. The massages have always been solid and the provider more than accommodating. The pillows on the other need to be cleaned and have washable covers added.
