It is also an area that was rezoned in the last decade allowing for large height buildings. Not sure the rationale, unless it was to "save' the floral district, but that particular four blocks or so are huge high rises that are not like much around them. My experience was also awful. Terrible massage by tiny masseur with no training and a pounce HE. Worst hour yet. Be warned that the hot-looking guy at the desk (you can see from the street) is merely the desk and the less attractive masseur appears after you decide to get a massage
