  1. does east men spa have any older massage therapists? usually prefer older, more experienced masseurs at the nyc men spas. thanks for any recs.
  2. Alex is an excellent masseur and esthetician. He used to work out of his apartment in Chelsea, and recently opened his new office on West 34th Street. He has been building his business over the years (he also has a studio in Miami), and hiring/training staff. I've only ever seen Alex, so no experience with his team.
  3. can confirm the westside y still has steam and sauna, and has lots of action going on. the crowd trends towards older, but younger guys also cruise and play. i think most of the crunch gyms in nyc have closed their steam rooms. lots still have dry saunas (although i haven't been to some in a while, so others will need to confirm): w83, e59, w38, e34, union square, tribeca, fidi. i miss nysc on 94th street, so many hot guys playing all the time!!! 😈🍆💦
  4. Had a massage with Allen (Masseur Finder, Rent Masseur) yesterday and was pleasantly surpised! He was responsive to text messages and very easy to book. He is currently working out of Fresh Man Spa on Macdougal in the village (he said this is temporary). Quoted me $100/hour for therapeutic, $140/hour for sensual. I opted for the therapeutic massage as I was sore and achy from the gym. Allen gave one of the best massages I've had at any of the NYC men's spas: good pressure, with intentional and varied strokes (not just pressing down on my back and limbs), some stretching, and checked in occasionally to make sure I was doing well. His pictures are accurate (with the exception of the ripped torso shot). He was direct and polite, and I was happy with the session. Will definitely repeat, and highly recommend. P.S. I've never heard of Fresh Man Spa, and I don't think it's been mentioned on the forum previously. But that's a separate topic, so don't bring that shit here! 😉
  5. New ad on Masseurfinder, probably too soon for any proper intel but figured I'd get things started. Cute guy, in my area, and a reasonable price. Profile reads more like it'll be a nice rubdown rather than a therapeutic massage, schedule indicates this is a side hustle, or maybe he works at a spa the rest of the time? Curious if anyone has any more info. https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/50244/

  9. @immaculateperfection156 I think you may have to take one for the team on this one. 😋
  10. It's been several years since I've had a massage with Sam, so I can't say what his sessions are like post-pandemic. In my experience, Sam is a trained masseur and provides a thorough, therapeutic, deep tissue, full-body massage; I never left unhappy.
  11. I decided to take the plunge and booked a massage with JavitsTouch. As his name indicates, he is located across from the Javits Center so take that into account when you're calculating travel time. He works out of his apartment in a nice, modern building with a doorman; you'll need to be announced. His apartment was slightly cluttered, but not dirty or off-putting. I booked a 60-minute deep tissue massage, which he performed on a wide, comfortable table with face cradle. He gave a B- massage: good, not stellar. He provided a nice, deep pressure and found a few troublesome knots which he diligently worked at. I don't think he is professionally-trained or certified, but he has a general understanding of the body and how to provide a pleasurable, relaxing experience. He used unscented oil and was thorough in addressing all areas of my body, checking in occasionally to make sure everything was ok. On this first experience, he was very generous with his time and went approximately 15 minutes over the 60 minutes I had booked. MT/HE His manner was calm and quiet: not overtly friendly, but not cold. A good option for a relaxing, reasonably-priced massage from a mature man - worth a repeat.
  12. Any recent experience with JavitsTouch? Thinking of booking and wanted to see if anyone could speak to his skills as a massage therapist. While I enjoy sensual/erotic elements, a good therapeutic massage is my main concern – always looking for that perfect alchemy. Thanks for any info. 13. Alex also does body shaving, with clippers and razor. His booking site is slightly convoluted, but if you just tell him what you want done, he'll do it. Appointment booking BOOKINGS.GETTIMELY.COM Online appointment booking
  14. I've never tried this guy, but follow him on Twitter: @BankDAYSPASALON. His website is https://www.licensedmalemassage.com/ and it looks like he offers many different services (massage, hair removal, esthetics).
  15. Thanks for the great insight, very helpful!
  16. I'm fairly certain you're talking about Alex (https://www.alexspot24.com/), who offers everything from body grooming to massage to other aesthetic treatments. He can be a little difficult to book with as he splits his time between NYC and Miami, and a nice following of regulars. I see Alex regularly for body waxing; I saw him once many years ago for a massage, which was great. Haven't tried any other treatments. I can also recommend George, Jose, and SugarDaddyNYC (all previously mentioned) for their waxing services, all of whom are excellent at what they do.
  17. His partner passed away a few years ago, sadly.
  18. @Monarchy79 I totally get where you're coming from. I still like to offer my reviews of the masseurs whose services I've experienced. After all, this forum is only as good as its active members. If someone reads one of my reviews and then DMs me for more details, I usually don't respond if: They don't contribute positively to the forum (i.e. provide helpful reviews/suggestions), The masseur already has lots of positive reviews (dude, how much more encouragement do you need?), or The only thing they want to know is if the masseur provides extras (that's between the masseur and you). Or, sometimes life is hectic and I don't have the time or energy... Hence the need for a good massage! 😉 I really like this forum: I've gotten lots of great recommendations from folks, and I like telling others about providers who are good at what they do!
  19. I think Jon ticks all the boxes: sexy Thai man with a lean, wiry, athletic body; good massage technique, strong, skilled, and sensual; works out of his apartment in Hell's Kitchen (I've never asked to use his shower, so you'll want to check if he makes it available to his clients). He's been reviewed positively on the forum previously. (https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/37672/ | https://rentmasseur.com/JThai) Brag, much? 😉
  20. So I booked a massage with Mauricio (aka. Andres), and unfortunately I don't think I'll repeat. IMO, the massage was just average, a bit uneven and unfocused with no real technique. He included some sensual teasing, which was fun, but ultimately I opted to pass on any extras.
  21. For a therapeutic massage, I recommend Jay (https://rentmasseur.com/ManusFortus). He works out of his spacious, well-appointed apartment near Columbus Circle (all guests need to check-in at the front desk and show ID). Jay is a friendly, sexy man with great technique; his massage is skilled and straight-forward, firm but not uncomfortable. He has a well-practiced routine which covers your whole body, and incorporates stretching and a bit of reiki. As a bonus, he does a great hot towel treatment on your back, and his shower is available after your session. The massage itself is completely legit, and Jay is professional and respectful. I began seeing him pre-pandemic, and he has been one of my go-tos ever since.
  22. Any intel on Mauricio? Seems to have just appeared in my area (convenient), handsome pics, and nice rate! Quick search through the forum didn't turn up anything, but maybe I missed something. https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/5362/
  23. i highly recommend ken at energy men spa. super friendly and accommodating, great massage technique, and very focused on providing a satisfying experience. he's mid-30s, short, athletic/beefy, asian (thai?). i'm also asian, if that helps. the only downside is ken only works at energy one day a week (thursday, i think) as he has a full-time job. i try to see him when my schedule allows, and it's always well worth it!
  24. this is very overdue, but thanks everyone who provided insight! i ended up seeing joseph (MF 31507) last august, and had a good massage experience. he has skill and training, and a friendly demeanor. communication was easy and he was very accommodating with my slightly shifting schedule. spacious set-up with easy parking available. very satisfying session, will definitely book again when i'm passing through.
  25. touché. but a groupon only gets you in the door. then (one hopes) the provider convinces you to come back.
