Sorry, PK, but I must correct this. Dinner is always on Saturday. Pool party (with deviled eggs) is always on Sunday. And Easter Sunday in 2018 is April 1. As to David's event, it was in the afternoon on Thursday this year.

She died 18 years ago and I have gradually got used to living alone, to the point that I would now have difficulty living with someone. But the eating alone - it's just not fun. So I usually read - cannot watch TV - too many years conditioned to that's not what one does at the dinner table. Thank you so much for sharing! And hugs to you!

Dear BB - Thank you for posting this saga. It has brought back memories of launching two daughters and a son on their college careers, although my wife was still here when that happened. I can remember sitting in the parking lot after leaving them, waiting 'til I could see to drive. And they all survived and are wonderful productive members of society! We did a good job! As have you! And thanks to all the compassionate members of this forum who have commented - I am glad to be part of it. Later on you will find you can begin to enjoy the "other" benefits of this site! (And do consider joining us in Palm Springs in April, 2018 - I would love to meet you, as would many others.)
