We may have heard it before, but it is only one side of the story. And a"story' was written after the two people are no longer friends, and not necessarily by JD's choice.

Many people who navigate the business world know that it's unwise to let aspects of your personal life leak out. For the simple reason it can be used against you in some way some how at any point in time. It's the same here, but worse. You're letting someone in on your secrets who's job it is to entertain people, that means talking, that means potentially talking about YOU. I don't think escort 2 escort confidentiality is well practiced or even on the radar of some. I always operate under this rule: believe none of what you hear, and only half of what you see. Unless I have a beyond horrible encounter with another guy, that's either dangerous or bizarre, I'm neutral on commenting on someone. If you're smart, you'll realize the only motive someone has for trash talking another escort is to keep them from getting one more client. The end.

I'm right there with you dominiking. I only have two guys in my life who are working boys that I can truly call my friends. One doesn't even live in this country. I can honesty say I don't have any issues like these and haven't had any in a very long time. Now this is venturing into the realm of absurdity. I find it difficult to believe that most of the people on this thread "yapping about racism here" (and I interpret that as your characterization of those who think excluding entire racial groups is abhorrent) would be supporting the most blatantly racist political campaign we've seen in decades. And with all due respect, when it comes to the portion of my post that you quoted in red font, I don't think you know what you're talking about. I recall from our past disagreement on this topic that you don't identify as a person of color, so I suspect that you have no personal experience as a victim of racism, although I think you previously analogized it to anti-semitism (but my memory could be off on that last part). I'm both a person of color and have been overweight my whole life. I've experienced all manner of discrimination on both of those grounds, and the impact is much deeper when I'm mistreated because of my race, due to the immense historical and cultural baggage attached to that subject. In our society, race means something with respect to identity (at least to those for whom race has historically been a marker of inferiority, and the means through which individual and institutional/structural mistreatment has been applied) that is entirely different from other characteristics. I never said that being mistreated for other reasons does not hurt. But it is markedly different. If you disagree, then that's your prerogative, but on certain subjects, where personal experience and wisdom really matters, not all opinions are equal.

What you should always remember is that a client is just as human as you are, JD, and he can be convinced of a lie about you if your "friend" escort sounds sincere enough. The very idea that an escort may be addicted to drugs is enough to make some clients shy away from any interaction with you, even though he might never have even thought of the possibility that you might be on meth until this "friend" of yours convinced him.
 
In this instance, the client became unhappy with the escort, decided to hire you again, and cleared the air with you about the accusations. Although you may be disappointed that the client could not see through your "friend's" lies, I don't think that's the best reason for dismissing your client completely. Drop your so called escort "friend" - absolutely, but give your client another chance. If you do that, you just might have a faithful client for life, or until you decide to leave the business! Maybe his intent was to be transparent, save himself & clients awkwardness based on whatever experience, preference, bias he may have. Yes, it could be that Dakota is a racist, but let's not make negative assumptions, and instead focus on the impact of his exclusionary statement: No Black guys please.
 
Man, that statement stings. It evokes so many memories when I've seen women, LGBT, and other minorities be bypassed for services or recognition bc of who they are. Man, that statement hurts bc I've seen white men be shunned and made scapegoats for systematic & institutional racism in America. Man, that statement has negative impact on me & others bc it is a bitter reminder of how uncivil yet negatively PC we've become in our good country. JJK...none of what I said has to do with sex. I'm going to choose to believe what Dakota doesn't realize is the painful impact his statement has on the entire client base - not just on Black clients. His overt statement hurts (in different levels of pain) the very client base he is trying to appeal to. Consciously and subconsciously, the impact of his exclusionary statement will plague the clients and the cool experience Dakota is trying to create. This is not about who you choose to sleep with, this is about the enormous emotional impact language and words have. Let's not undermine that.

I agree, Dom and can understand your frustration behind this matter - Being of an African-American (who happens to be of an escort) it offends me deeply indeed that an escort would discriminate towards minorities. Maybe from this post members here on the forum can deeply realize from this experience that being Black still is a struggle in America seeing how we're judged, rejected or persecuted in some way, shape or form. Just cause the world puts us to shame for being what God made us, don't mean we have to accept such needless shame from others.
 
However, I glad there are people on the forum and outside of the forum who are more "open-minded" and not see a persons color as a reason to interact or be as equal as they are. I know I'm one of them as I too see people as people, and NOT judge them by the color of they're skin for me to interact with that special person I may wanna know socially or sexually.
 
Why limit yourself being you can enjoy peoples company in ALL races? Now that I've gotten that out there, here's where I defend Dakota. While I disagree with him 100%, I rather he say it out loud and be upfront with it. For the same reason I justified the existence of that thread jjkrkwood mentioned. I want to know where someone stands before I end up scheduling an appointment; spend hours getting ready; driving or commuting for over an hour or more, only to get a door slammed in my face. I much prefer being mad at an ad or a thread post, then a person standing right in front of me.
 
When this thread first came up, I was as mad as a lot of people on here. It pissed me off that this thinking still exist. But, I got over it. And I know I got over this because when this thread came back, I had know idea who Dakota was. And when I click on his profile, I realized I had already blocked him. So Dakota good luck to you. Hopefully someday you'll learn to be a more open person, but if not, so be it. I'll go back to blocking you from my world.
