Oh wow! That rate is super high. When I stay there I paid around $350. I had a corporate rate but if you book in advance directly with Marriott you can get similar rates. For $600 a night I wouldn’t stay there, I’d stay at the Shangri-la (Shard), the mandarin oriental or Browns hotel. I do like my luxury but I only splurge for special occasions

I stay at the St. Ermins hotel and have not had any issues; no key card access when I was last there. I think if I was in the OPs situation I would have reacted the same way. I am not a big guy and frankly there are three things that I worry about when meeting someone new (specially if they are a lot bigger than me) 1. that he is a LEO 2. getting violently robbed and 3. being sexually assaulted. And that is one of the reasons I find the forum and DRs invaluable.

I agree. I have been following DR for a long time and before DR Hooboy's reviews. I still find the reviews quite valuable and consult them before I consider meeting a new companion. I also appreciate the forum and think both sites complement each other. It will be a sad day for me if there comes a day when there are no more reviews. @Guy Fawkes I truly appreciate everything Daddy has done to evolve and keep the sites going...

Maybe it's just my experience and perhaps I have been lucky that the dumb jocks I have clicked with have been really sweet nice guys. So usually refer to them as sweet nice guys And hey even though i have multiple graduate degrees, I am sure I've been referred to as dumb by some but definitely not a jock LoL...

@marylander1940 thanks, a pool is not important to me. I have never been to DC so not sure what neighborhood; in NYC I like the village, flatiron and gramercy areas. Low key guy here enjoy pubs and good restaurants and places where if I am taking a companion with me we won’t standout. @Steve yabsley the Marriott marquis sounds great. Thank you.

I’m thinking of taking a trip to DC. I’ve never visited before and this would be for fun. Any hotel recommendations? I usually stay at Marriotts because I have status with them but am open to other hotels. Also any recommendations on restaurants? Sometimes I like to take the companion I’m meeting to dinner. I tend to be shy and can get anxious so wouldn’t like any places where we might stand out.

Ah there is a trick to check the position. Even though it doesn’t display, you can still filter by position and it will show you the profiles and that’s how I can tell...
