  1. Hello Dr. PK,

Thank you! Your little drop of healing, hope, and compassion is now rippling through the thoughts and hearts of your bros in this forum. Consequently, we are re-telling your story and as we share it with others in our circles of family/friends, we are caught up in a wave of kindness, love, and deep peace that you started.

I often turn to music to help me reflect and sort things out. Here's a favorite based on a an old Gaelic Blessing. Enjoy, stay well.

  2. Ace, you demonstrate powerful trust to ask this community for our thoughts. That speaks volumes about you; your willingness to be vulnerable to feedback, and the humility to admit uncertainty.

My advice is to reflect on questions (in a spirit of genuine curiosity) and pay attention to your inner dispositions as you ask: What do you want to be known for? What legacy do you want to leave behind for yourself and your loved ones? How will this documentary enhance or detract from that? Were you to do the Documentary, in hindsight what might you regret? Were you to decline doing the Documentary, what relief do you experience? Lastly, throughout this decision making process, what insights have you gained about yourself? Savor this experience. Thanks for asking.

  3. Yes, he is friendly, kind and sweet, and open to mutual touch. . . but he short changed me on time as well. I texted him about this and he said he'd "add 10 minutes to my next appointment." I'm not interested in going back. There are many other options in NYC and Hell's Kitchen.

  4. I am still doing massage in Atlanta but I'm enjoying traveling Florida is nice. I started rentmen about 4 months now that has cut into the time I have for massage appointments as well.

Welcome to the forum Scott (or do you prefer Monty?) I look forward to being on your massage table in Atlanta on my next business trip there.

  5. Hello Guy,

Thanks for posting this and kindling some fond literary memories!

The Front Runner was the very first gay themed novel I read, followed by Patricia Nell Warrens 2nd book The Fancy Dancer. In this wonderfully written novel, young recently ordained Father Tom is assigned to rural sleepy parish. He meets Vidal Stump, (a self-confident, half Cheyenne, cocky ex-con,) who seduces Fr. Tom and thus begins a wonderfully told adventure that explores the tension between passion, vowed commitments, and love. I think Patricia Nell Warren was the first to portray a gay priest as a main character in a positive light; having an appropriate, albeit complicated adult sexual relationship.

And then there's The Catch Trap by Marion Zimmer Bradley!

Except from Goodreads: "Tommy Zane hates lions, a major obstacle in a family of lion tamers. But Tommy's dreams, and talent, fly higher, up in the rigging with the trapeze. When rising star Mario Santelli offers him flying lessons, it looks like the start of wonderful new life, and to Tommy's surprise, his relationship with Mario deepens even as his skill soars in the rigging. But life in the 1940s forces them to keep their love a secret, and the stress pushes both Tommy and Mario to a precipice. And as Mario flies higher and higher, Tommy begins to wonder if it will always be his role to catch Mario as he falls. A tremendously moving tale, a rich family saga, a wise and compassionate portrait of a special love in a cruel world."

I still have my original copies of both of these books; and am now inspired to do some re-reads!
