You have a few valid points but considering how touchy this subject is I would have expressed them in a softer way. I think the standard of beauty has been greatly influenced by culture and media. "Persons of color" selected to represent “beauty” tend to be lighter skinned. Fortunately voluptuous lips more commonly found on blacks have been accepted in the last decades as something beautiful. It wasn't the case in the 50's or 60's when thin lips were considered sexier. Also most models are "whitewashed"
