No, it's not expected but it could be negotiated, it's also a good icebreaker for a first meeting. It's a nice gesture of encouragement to show the client is truly interested in meeting and the escort won't knock at a door and not get an answer. I would suggest doing it late at night and if you're not close to metro/public transportation.
