Considering you contacted folks who asked for your stats and didn't reply I would suggest you meet him first for 1 or 2 hours, take him out to dinner and if you get along with him ask him how much he wants for a week with you in X place during X dates. Having an overnight as suggested by @MscleLovr would be ideal but if you're saving your pennies for a week and wondering about budget a 1,200/1,500 overnight just for testing might be too much. Your call! Again overnights are ideal but I would stick to the guys you already met. What if you make things less complicated and simply talk to them about a week together?

It's nothing but a suggestion. I contacted him a couple of years ago and I decided NOT hiring him, unlike some guys on here I don't bargain, I just move on. If some folks are paying 500 he should keep on charging that. Have you ever hired someone for that much for 1 hour instead of 2?
